       Кроме выкручивания своего языка, обратите еще внимание на слова stunk и thunk.
       Эти формы глаголов stink (прош. вр. - stank) и think (прош. вр. - thought) 
       используются теперь только в скороговорках.

 

        A purely rural duel truly plural is better than a purely plural duel truly rural.

 

          A rough-coated, dough-faced, thoughtful ploughman

          strode through the streets of Scarborough;

          after falling into a slough,

          he coughed and hiccoughed.

1. rough- нечто шероховатое, неровное; a dog with a rough coat - собака с лохматой шерстью

2. dough - тесто, густая масса; dough-faced – слабохарактерный

3. thoughtful - задумчивый

4. plough – плуг, ploughman – крестьянин

5. stride (strode, strode) – широко шагать

6. slough - амер. а) болото, участок на дороге, по которому невозможно проехать

 

        A big black bug bit a big black bear, made the big black bear bleed blood.

 

A twister  /разг. лгун, обманщик; вихрь/ of twists once twisted a twist.

And the twist that he twisted was a three twisted twist.

Now in twisting this twist, if a twist should untwist,

Would the twist that untwisted untwist the twists.

Крутильщик скруток однажды скрутил скрутку.

И скрутка, которую он крутил, была трижды скрученной скруткой.

Теперь в скручивании этой скрутки, если скрутка должна раскрутиться,

будет ли скрутка, которую раскрутили, раскрученной скруткой?

If I put it in my batter, it will make my batter bitter.

So she bought a bit of better butter

and made her bitter batter better.

So 'twas better Betty Botter bought some better butter.
