•        Образовательные:

- формирование умения вести диалог по теме;

- развитие аудио - фонемических навыков учащихся;

- развитие умений учащихся оперировать известными понятиями;

- составлять высказывания с помощью опор;

- контроль усвоения изученной темы.

•        Развивающие:

- формирование способности и готовности вступать в иноязычное общение;

- развитие различных видов памяти (вербальной, образной), внимания, коммуникативности, воображения;

- развитие мыслительной деятельности, умения переноса знаний в новую ситуацию;

- развитие языковой догадки.

•        Воспитательные:

- показать значимость умения решать коммуникативные задачи через диалог;

- расширение кругозора, творческих способностей учащихся;

- воспитание коммуникативной компетентности учащихся.

Планируемые результаты:

Учащиеся научатся использовать коммуникативные навыки по теме «Shopping» для решения социальных задач.

- Hello, my dear friends. I am glad to see you. Are you fine today? At the beginning of the lesson answer my questions, please:

• Do you like going shopping?
• How often do you go shopping?
• Who do you go shopping with?

- Thank you for your answers, so could you guess the topic of our lesson today?

1. - Now, look at the Smart board, you can see the pictures of different stores there. Discuss in pairs and label the pictures to the store names:

         2.  – We can buy everything in the different kinds of stores. Please, classify the goods which you can see on the slide of the Smart board and put the things to the right stores.

Learners make up sentences in turn.

E.g. We can buy trainers in a sports store.  I bought a ring in a jewelry store yesterday.

Group work. - Look at the pictures and label them. Now, think of your own explanation (definition) to the new words of the lesson:

a shop assistant                          purse

a customer                                   wallet

pay by card                                  money bill/banknote

pay by cash                                  coins

Each group reads their definitions in turn. Learners give feedback to each group if the definitions were understandable, correct and meaningful.

Group work. Each group has a dialogue cut into pieces. Learners negotiate and put the phrases in order then they role play the dialogue.

Dialogue #1. Shopping. Food store

- Can I help you?

- I am looking for raspberries. Do you have any?

- Yes, we have fresh and tasty raspberries. How much would you like?

- I want 2 kilos, please.

- Anything else?

- Yes, I’d like a loaf of bread, please. How much are they?

- $ 23.30

- Here are $25.

- Here are $1.70 change.

Dialogue #2. Shopping. Clothing store

- Can I help you?

- Can I try these jeans on?

- Of course. The fitting room is over there.

- It’s not my size. Do you have smaller size?

- How about this one?

- I think these are better. How much are they?

- $45

- Here are $50.

- Take $5 change.
