1. Организационный момент

Проведение мероприятия осуществляется в программе ZOOM.

Приветствие, проверка подготовленности к учебному занятию, организация внимания детей.

-Good morning, dear boy and girls. Now you will see a competition called ”Do You Know English-Speaking Countries?”

Включаются в деловой ритм урока. Обучающиеся здороваются с учителем.

2. Объяснение правил

Учитель предлагает разделиться на 2 команды. Каждая команда должна придумать название и выбрать капитана. Команды отвечают по очереди. За правильный ответ команда получает 1 балл, за неверный -0 баллов. Если команда ответила не правильно, право ответа переходит к другой команде. Побеждает команда, набравшая большее количество баллов.

-Two teams will take part in a game of the most quick-witted and the cleverest. It is devoted to the English-speaking countries. I’m sure you’ve read a lot of books and got useful information about the countries. This competition will show your achievements and your knowledge of the matter. I wish you success.

-Mention English-speaking countries. Every country you name earns you one point. You are welcome!

“Flags and capitals”

-The next competition is called « Flags and capitals ». The 1st team must match flags with the names of the countries and 2nd team must put the names of capitals.

(Следующий конкурс называется «Флаги и столицы». 1-я команда должна сопоставить флаги с названиями стран, а 2-я команда должна указать названия столиц.)

-Guess the names of these countries. Listen to the speaker and be very attentive! The winner will be the team that gives the right answer and does it quicker than the other team.

1.This is one of the largest countries of the world. It is washed by the Atlantic Ocean in the East and by the Pacific Ocean in the West. What is it?

2.This country has a very high living standard. People speak many languages there. The main symbol on the flag is a maple leaf. What is it?

3.It is a country which looks like an island. It’s not very big, but it’s very beautiful. It’s the country of fog and rain. There are a lot of places of interest.

4.This country occupies a whole continent. It has strange animals and plants. It’s very far from our country.

“The ABC game”

-Now you’ll get some letters from the English alphabet. You must put these letters in the right order, so as to get the name of the country. The winner will be the team that finishes this kind of work  earlier.
