> 2. It is a portrait — but not a formal one. It looks more like a “tronie” (a study of expression and costume).  

> 3. In the picture, we can see a young woman against a dark background. She wears a blue and yellow turban and a large pearl earring that shines brightly. Her skin is light, and the light comes from the left side.  

> 4. She is turning her head towards the viewer and looking directly at us with slightly parted lips, as if she is about to speak. Her eyes are calm and mysterious.  

> 5. The painting gives a peaceful and mysterious mood. The dark background and soft light make her face and earring stand out, and her expression makes people wonder: *Who is she? What is she thinking?*
