Тип урока: обобщающий

  Цели урока: автоматизировать речь учащихся с использованием жизненноважной      современной информации и повысить мотивацию говорения на базе страноведческой тематики, применив различные приемы и формы обучения, а также учебно-наглядные пособия и ТСО.

Задачи:

1. Практиковать учащихся во всех видах учебной деятельности (аудированиии, диалогической и монологической речи, чтении) на базе знакомого и нового словарного запаса;
2. Расширить объем потенциального словаря учащихся в плане географической проблематики;
3. Формировать эмоционально- ценностное отношение к стране изучаемого языка.

Оборудование: проектор, экран, компьютерная презентация, маркеры, бумага, карточки 2 цветов, грамматическая таблица Present Perfect, карта Соединенного Королевства Великобритании.

Ход урока:

1. Organization moment.(слайд 1)

Today we'll continue to speak about London. Look at the map.  London is the capital of Great Britain and the United Kingdom. This is the flag of the U.K. At your Geography lesson you'll also speak about this country but today we'll travel to the most famous sights of London. Be attentive and you'll learn some interesting facts about the sights.

2. Grammar material.

To talk correctly in your dialogues we must revise The Present Perfect Tense. (учащиеся проговаривают правило образования настоящего совершенного времени).

And do you remember the forms of irregular verbs? Let's play a game. (учащиеся делятся на две команды, учитель показывает карточки с неправильными глаголами, и участники команд поочередно называют формы неправильных глаголов. Побеждает команда, назвавшая правильно, максимальное количество глаголов)

    So, children, it's time for us to visit London

3. Sights of London.

(слайд 2) As you know London is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. It has a lot of interesting historical and modem places to visit. But first let's see what you know about London.

(слайд 3) Let's read the motto of our lesson "It's better to see something once then to hear about it a hundred times". Who can translate our motto?  That's why today at the lesson we'll try to do so.

Today we'll learn some more places of interest.

Now let's listen to the dialogue between a tourist and his British friend.  You must   write out         sights of London in the right order. Be attentive, please

 ( 2 человека выходят к доске и рассказывают диалог)

– Ann, how do you like London?

-Oh, it`s very beautiful. I have already visited some famous places.

– What places have you visited?

- I`ve already visited Westminster and saw Big Ben.

– And have you visited the Tower of London?

- Yes, yesterday we went on the excursion to the Tower.

– The Tower is one of the most interesting places in London. And have you visited any museums?

- Not yet. Could you tell me something about them?

- Oh, yes. It`s the famous waxworks museum. You can meet there great characters of history and art and even the Royal family.

– Oh, it`s great. I think I`ll go there tomorrow. Let’s go together?

- With pleasure!

Who will be the first? You are absolutely right! (слайды 4-7)

I’m sure, that you know all descriptions of these sights of London, don’t you? And now let’s check it!

You must combine pictures of places of interest with theirs definitions. (Ученики выходят поочередно к доске, подбирают описание достопримечательности и ее фотографию. Все они отображены на экране) (слайд 8)

So let’s start:

1. It's a clock in the tower and it is a big bell. You can hear it every hour. (Big Ben)
2. It is a place where the British Government sits. It is the largest modem building. It consists of three parts: the Royal Apartments, the House of Lords and the House of Commons. ( House of Parliament)

3. It is the oldest and famous bridge across the Thames. Originally it was made of wood by the Romans, but it was often burnt down. Later it was made of stone. Finally it was rebuilt and made of concrete. (The Tower Bridge)

4. It is the central square of London and traditional place for people to meet: all sorts of protest meetings are held there. The statue of national hero Admiral Nelson stands there. (Trafalgar Square)

4. “Say true or false”

Another task for you.(слайд 9) I’ll read you some sentences and you should say true or false. But first of all, I'll give you two cards: blue and red. Blue card means false statement; red card means true statement. (Утверждения читает учитель)

1. Buckingham Palace is the official residence of the Queen. (T)
2. Big Ben is a beautiful London museum. (F)
3. Parliament consists of two Houses. (T)
4.   Nelson's column is  situated on Trafalgar Square. (T)
5.  Changing the guard takes place near the Tower Bridge. (F)
6. The Tower of London used to be a palace, a fortress and a prison. (T)

-Yes, we do.

-Can you recognize the sights of London?

-Yes, certainly!
