Task 4. Imagine that you are doing a project "Going green" together with your friend. You have found some illustrations and want to share the news. Leave a voice message to your friend. In 2.5 minutes be ready to:

• give a brief description of the photos, justifying the choice of the photos for the project;

• say in what way the pictures are different, justifying the choice of the photos for the project;

• mention the advantages and disadvantages (1-2) of the two ways of environmental protection;

• express your opinion on the subject of the project — what way to protect nature is the best for you and why

Hi Vasya! I have found two photos suitable for our project “Going green” and I’d like to say a few words about them.

Well, I guess these photos are perfect for our project as they show two different ways of environmental protection in order to improve the ecological situation.

Actually, in one photo shows three adults planting trees.  In the other photo, some people are collecting garbage somewhere on the field.

There are some differences between these two pictures which we can note in our project. The people in one photo are busy planting trees, while the people in the other photo are getting rid of the consequences of human destructive actions.  Besides, the people planting trees are trying to increase the number of good things on our planet, while people collecting garbage are trying to decrease the amount of waste on Earth.

Anyway, I think both ways of environmental protection have their advantages and disadvantages.

For example, planting trees can be really expensive but it helps to preserve the environment greatly. As for collecting garbage, it can help to improve the ecological situation in the local area very quickly but you may get an injure by being cut by some waste.  

Personally, I prefer collecting garbage as it is the best way to preserve our environment clean. Many a little makes a mickle!
