Конспект открытого урока в 10 классе «Звуки музыки»

Задачи:

  1. обобщить изученный лексический материал по теме;
  2. проконтролировать монологические высказывания учащихся по теме (выражение собственного мнения);
  3. развивать навыки аудирования у учащихся (понимание детального содержания прослушанного);
  4. развивать навыки критического мышления у учащихся посредством дискуссии.
  1. Приветственный момент.

Good morning girls and boys. Today we’ll continue to speak about music – one of the performing arts.

  1. Обобщение изученного материала по теме «Звуки музыки».

Today music is everywhere. And it is difficult to imagine modern life without music.

  1. What does music mean for you?
  2. What role does it play in your life?

(pupils’ answers)

As I see all of you like music and it plays an important role in your life.

  1. And what are the main elements of music? (rhythm, melody, tempo, tone colour)

Now let’s see how well you know the names of musical instruments. Please look at the screen and name musical instruments. (guitar, flute, synthesizer, piano, grand piano, organ, violin, drum, saxophone, cello, harp, cymbal, tuba, vibraphone)

  1. Can you play any musical instrument?
  2. What instrument can you play?
  3. Do you get pleasure playing it?
  4. Would you like to learn to play any musical instrument?

Judging by the main elements of music and musical instruments that play it we can guess the kind of music. I suggest you to listen to some music and try to guess its kinds. (the pupils listen to church music, folk music, hymn, classical music, jazz, electronic music, rock, march music.

Nowadays more kinds, stiles, genres and trends are available to interested listeners than ever before.

  1. And what about you? Are you selective in your choice of music?
  2. What kind of music do you prefer to listen to and why?

III. Ознакомление и работа с новой информацией (монологическое высказывание, аудирование).

As you see no special knowledge is required to listen to music, but much study is required to become a performer. All great musicians combined talent and hard work to become really famous.

  1. What world-famous musicians do you know?
  2. And what about Mordovian musicians? Can you name some of them?

Ann prepared a presentation about one of Mordovian musicians Leonty Kirukov. Let’s watch it and listen to Ann. Be very attentive. (the pupils watch the presentation)

And now I would like you to answer some questions.

  1. Who was the first teacher of Leonty Kirukov?
  2. What were the main genres of his creative activity?
  3. How many folk songs did he recored?
  4. Have you ever heard any of his works?

I want you to listen to some of his music and express your feelings and emotions this music evokes in you. (the pupils listen and speak)

I think you should know about famous people of your region and can speak about them.

IV. Обсуждение проблем по теме (дискуссия, работа в парах).

Let’s continue to speak about sounds of music. Nowadays there seem to be a lot of gadgets playing music. Look at the pictures and name them. ( a walkman, a tape recorder, mp3 player, a CD player, a mobile, a music centre)

  1. Which of these gadgets have you got?
  2. Which of them do you use more often when you listen to music?

And now I’d like you to discuss if these gadgets are a blessing or a curse. Here you can see some ideas that you may develop:

  1. “canned” music and live music;
  2. bringing people together or separating them;
  3. cost of the gadgets;
  4. influence on people’s health;
  5. convenience of new hi-fi.

(pupils discuss the problem)

Of course it’s very difficult to give the definite answer what these gadgets are a blessing or a curse. And it’s impossible to imagine modern live without them. But when we use these gadgets we listen to “canned” music.

  1. And what about live music?
  2. Where can you listen to live music?
  3. How often do you go to the concerts of live music?

Today I’m going to invite you to the concert of live music. I’m sure you will get great pleasure of it. Let’s watch it.

A concert

- Good day ladies and gentlemen. I welcome all of you here at the concert of live music. Today you will enjoy the performance of our best musicians and singers. Our first performer is a talented singer. She possesses a very beautiful voice and can sing in different languages. Welcome…

- Our next performer is a well-known virtuoso …. Enjoy her playing the violin.

- And finally welcome …. They will perform the most beautiful and romantic song …

- Our concert is over. We hope you enjoyed it very much and got unforgettable impression of it. Thank you and good bye.

And now the concert is over and you are going home. Exchange your opinions about the concert. Speak about your emotions and feelings of the concert of live music. (the pupils in pairs exchange their opinions)

V.  Подведение итогов.

Our lesson is coming to the end. Today we spoke much about music. You worked very well. I’m satisfied with your work and I’m going to give all of you excellent marks.
