Halloween.

Halloween ( October 31-st).

It is a less important festival in Britain as compared with America but still many people like to dress up in strange costumes and pretend they are witches or ghosts. There’s also a tradition to cut up a pumpkin to look like a frightening face and put a candle inside.

Traditional colours are black and orange.

Halloween treats are dried pumpkin seeds, caramel apples and popcorn balls.

Hallowe’en  party.

1. Story about the Holiday.

1. Who is the first.
2. Spooky Visitors.

One child at a time has to get apples from a plate of water without using hands

3. Magic test ( Three Luggies)

Halloween became a great fortune-telling night. People used charms or magic tests to make the spirits tell their future. They said magic chants to make their wishes come true.

The “ Three Luggies ” is an old test.

Put three bowls in a row. Fill one with clean water, one with dirty water and leave one empty. Each player must be blindfolded. He turns around 3 times then dips his hand into one of the bowls.  Clean water could stand for much money, dirty- little money, empty- no money at all. ( job, love, luck…)

She went up to her bedroom early. She____5___the key and_6_____the door.

That’s good, said a little voice. Now we are safely locked in for the night.
