Задачи урока:

Практические: развивать умение иноязычного общения в различных ситуациях; формировать коммуникативные умения слушать, говорить; реализовать творческий потенциал.

Образовательные: учить понимать иностранную речь в игровой ситуации, знакомить с историей и фольклором страны изучаемого языка, активизировать лексический запас.

Развивающие: развивать творческую фантазию, познавательный интерес, инициативу.

Воспитательные: воспитать умение работать в коллективе, чувство взаимной ответственности, культуру общения.

Форма проведения: игровая.

Оборудование: доска, картинки.

Ход урока

Good afternoon everyone! I’m glad to see you. We are here to have some fun. Would you like to play? That’s great! 

Today we’ll learn some interesting facts about Great Britain and check what you already know!

Here is a puzzle for you! We have the first part of a saying and the other one is hidden in this puzzle! Your task is to answer the questions about Great Britain and learn the saying!

IT is the official residence of the Queen. IT has 775 rooms. These include 19 State rooms, 52 Royal and guest bedrooms, 188 staff bedrooms, 92 offices and 78 bathrooms.

A flag always flies above IT. When The Queen is in residence, the Royal Standard flies. When the Queen is not present, the Union Flag flies instead.

It means that tourists are allowed into IT!

IT is the nickname for the great bell of the clock. The name may be referred to Sir Benjamin Hall who was responsible for ordering the bell.

IT is a part of a traditional Christmas dinner. A common tradition in the United Kingdom is to use it's wishbone. Two people pull opposite ends of the wishbone until it breaks, with the person holding the larger fragment of the bone making a wish.

The normal ingredients of a traditional full English breakfast are bacon, eggs, fried or grilled tomatoes, fried mushrooms, fried bread or toast, baked beans and sausages, usually served with a mug of THIS traditional English drink.
