I. Приветствие. You are welcome to our party  dedicated to St. Valentine’s Day, which is always held on February 14th and brings us happiness and good luck. St. Valentine is one of the popular holidays in Europe and America. It is the day, when boys and girls, sweethearts and lovers, husbands and wives, friends and neighbours, and even the office staff, exchange greetings of affection, undying love, or satirical comment.

So we also wish you a Happy Valentine’s Day! We ask all the participants to take their places!

IV. The motto of our party is NO BROKEN HEARTS. The task is to make a whole heart out of two pieces. Соединяя половинки разрезанных сердец, учащиеся разбиваются на пары.

IV. Let’s see which of the pairs we’ve got can speak about their feelings of love and friendship in a good artistic manner. Meanwhile two more pairs will compete in composing their own poems.

VI. The next game-competition is called “Pantomime”. You are to pantomime the words from the cards so that the other team guesses what these words are.

VII. We are beginning our grammar competition! Assistants, bring the cards, please! Each girl will get a special card written on Valentine’s Day. Your task is to read the card carefully and find any mistakes there.

IX. I’d like to see if the pairs we’ve got are good ones and if they know each other well enough. One of you will leave the classroom for a couple of minutes, we’ll ask the mate some questions and then repeat them. The more answers are the same the closer is the pair.

What’s his/her favourite toy? Food? Drink? Hobby?Song?
