                                      Урок в 6 А классе: “Famous people”

Учитель английского языка: Лубковская Е. В.

Цель урока: познакомиться с биографией создателя Интернета: Sir Timothy Berners-Lee.

Задачи:

1. практическая: работа с текстом – биографией.

2. образовательная: развивать навыки прогнозирования содержания текста, ознакомительного и поискового чтения, развитие умений делать сообщение на основе прочитанного.

3. развивающая: развивать навыки самостоятельной работы.

4. воспитательная: воспитывать личностные качества: трудолюбие, активность, умение работать в сотрудничестве с другими, коммуникабельность, личная и взаимная ответственность.

Оборудование и оснащение урока: проектор, ноутбук, раздаточный         материал, презентация учителя.

1. Приветствие. Hello, everyone! How are you?

2. Организационный момент. Is anybody absent today? I hope all of you are ready for the lesson.

1) Слайд 1. What do all of them have in common? The abbrivation: WWW. What does it stand for? – World Wide Web (The Internet). When does it appear? Who invented it?

Sir Timothy Berners-Lee.

Sir Timothy Berners-Lee is a 1)____________________ who invented the World Wide Web. He received a knighthood from the British Queen for his efforts (so he is called ‘Sir’). He is director of W3C, which looks after the Web’s development. A leading British newspaper ranked him as the world’s greatest living genius. Today’s world would be very different without his discovery. Berners-Lee was born in 2)______ to parents who were mathematicians and computer scientists. He grew up with 3) ________________ and managed to build his own computer. He went to Oxford University and was banned from using the computers for hacking.

Berners-Lee graduated with a degree in physics. His first jobs after graduating were as 4) ____________________________.
