План-конспект урока английского языка в 8 классе

по теме «Natural Disasters»

Цель: выработка умений самостоятельно применять знания, умения и навыки, осуществлять их перенос в новые условия.

Задачи: 

практические:   - совершенствование фонетических навыков;

                              - отработка лексического материала;

                              - совершенствование навыков аудирования;

                              - развитие монологических навыков и умений;

                              - развитие навыков чтения;

                              - развитие навыков письменной речи;

развивающие:       - развитие памяти;

                              - развитие внимания;

                              - развитие логики мышления;

                              - развитие готовности к коммуникации;

образовательные: - расширение кругозора;

                              - повышение общей культуры.

воспитательные:  - воспитание культуры общения;

                              - поддержать интерес к обучению и познавательной

                             деятельности;

Оснащение: презентация, компьютер с проектором, УМК Биболетова М.З., Трубанева Н.Н. Английский с удовольствием. 8 класс

Ход урока

1. Организационный момент.

-Good-morning, boys and girls! (Good-morning, teacher!)

- I am glad to see you! (We are glad to see you too!)

-Who’s on duty in your Class?

- How are you?

2. Фонетическая зарядка.

-Today we shall start our lesson with the new words. Open your books page 23 exercise 76.

-Listen and repeat.  Label the pictures. (Ученики прослушивают запись, повторяют новые слова и соотносят названия природных явлений с картинками в учебнике)

-Let’s check ourselves. And let’s try to translate these words  (Учащиеся озвучивают свои ответы и переводят существительные, опираясь на изображение в учебнике)

     -Repeat the words once more (Повторяем новые слова): EARTHQUAKE,                 HURRICANE, TORNADO, VOLCANO, FLOOD,DROUGHT  (см.СЛАЙД 2)

3. Речевая зарядка.

-Let’s read the definition (см. СЛАЙД 3) :

Natural Disaster is a major adverse event resulting from natural processes of the Earth; examples include floods, volcanic eruptions,earthquakes, tsunamis, and other geologic processes. A natural disaster can cause loss of life or property damage, and typically leaves some economic damage in its wake, the severity of which depends on the affected population's resilience, or ability to recover. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Natural_disaster )

Now make two questions to text and ask each other (Ученики составляют по два вопроса к тексту и задают их друг другу).

4. Введение в тему урока.

-As you understand, today we are going to talk about natural disasters.

-What do you know about disasters? What is it? Which natural disasters do you know?

Match the words and definitions. (см. СЛАЙД  4)

5. Развитие навыков ознакомительного чтения.

-We are going to read the text “The Yungay Earthquake”. Open your books page 24 exercise 81. (Биболетова М.З.Трубанева Н.Н. Английский язык: Английский с удовольствием/Enjoy English: учебник для 8 класса общеобразовательных учреждений / М.З.Биболетова, Н.Н.Трубанева.- 2-е изд.,испр. И перераб.-Обнинск:Титул, 2014.- С. 22 Упр. 73)

-Read the text to yourself please and answer the questions.  I give you 4 minutes for reading. Page 24 exercise 81, 82.

1. When did the Yungay earthquake take place (May 31st 1970)?
2. How did it begin (It was coming from the ground. The cars started to jump up and down)?
3. What did Juan hear and see (The letters started to dance in front of my eyes…There was a noise, like a big lorry on the street)?
4. What happened with the boy (He ran out of school to the fields. Then he ran away and swam across the river)?
5. Was the Yungay earthquake the most terrible (No, it wasn’t. There was  an earthquake in China in 1556. It killed 830,000 people. In 1923, in Japan, 142,000 people died)?
6. Have you ever had an earthquake (or any other disaster) in your area? Tell about your experience (Учащиеся отвечают на вопросы).

7. Развитие видов речевой деятельности (аудирование).

-Listen and fill in the table. (см. СЛАЙД 7)

8. Развитие видов речевой деятельности (письмо): составление краткой описательной характеристики одного из природных явлений). 

 -Make 2-3 sentences to describe one of natural disasters.

9. Введение и активизация лексических единиц и лексических образцов.

          - Open your books page 24 exercise 79. Read and translate new word    

           combinations. Make your 5 own sentences with new phrases.

          (Учащиеся читают и переводят новые выражения. Составляют 5    

          предложений с новыми выражениями).

10.      Подведение итогов. Домашнее задание.

           -What new have you learnt during this lesson? What was interesting for  

            you to know?

         (It was interesting for me to know that …)

          -Homework – p.24 ex.82. Give 5 nouns, 5 verbs, 5 adjectives, 5 adverbs to  

           describe the earthquake.

          -The lesson is over. Good-bye, my dear friends.
