Food For Life

           People cannot live without food. Where does our food come from? 1) ____ comes from animals – cows, pigs. Eggs come from 2)_____. Milk comes from cows. People get butter, cheese and 3)_____from milk.

           Fruit, berries and vegetables come from plants. Apples, pineapples, pears, mangoes, oranges and 4)_____ are fruit. Strawberries, grapes, cherries are berries. Melons and watermelons are very big berries. Tomatoes, onions, cabbage are vegetables.

Different food comes from different countries. Bananas and oranges grow in Africa and America. Potatoes and onions grow in Russia.

           Remember to buy and eat the right food! Eat a lot of fruit and vegetables! Drink a lot of juice and 5)____! They’ve got a lot of vitamins. Remember the proverb: “An apple a day keeps the doctor away”.
