Slide 2. Good morning, dear students! I’m glad to see you all! Take your seats. I hope you are not afraid of so many guests at our lesson. So, how are you today?

Look at the screen. What do you see in the picture?

What do you think the topic of our lesson is? What are we going to speak about?

You are very close, look at the whole picture and name the process.

Slide 3. Yes, today our theme is learning. And you are going to practice your speaking on this topic to do tasks 2 and 3 of the State Exam Successfully.

Slide 4. To begin with, tell me, what verb do you use most of all when you are asked about yourself and your preferences?

Let’s revise all the synonyms to the word “like” that we studied last week.

There are 8 cards on the board. On the other side of each of them there is a word/phrase. The students name them and the teacher turn the cards over.

That’s alright! You remember the words very well! Now make a true sentence about yourself with one or two words from the list, answering the question: what do you like about learning/education/your school/?

Our topic is learning. Let’s think of the words we can use while speaking about it. Look at card 1. Slide 5. Your task is to match the words and the definitions. You may compare your answers with your neighbor. Then we will check your answers together.

Slide 9. Now task 3. Look at the screen.

Task 3. You are going to give a talk about school. You will have to start in 1.5 minutes and speak for not more than 2 minutes (10-12 sentences). Remember to say:

· what your typical school day is like

· what subjects at school you find most useful for your future, and why

· what you are going to do when you leave school

 You have to talk continuously.

You will work in pairs. One of you will speak and your partner will appreciate you answer (communicative task, cohesion, grammar and vocabulary). After the end of the task your partner will say what is good and bad abour your answers.

The most useful task was card 2 because I have learnt a lot of new words and I will be able to use them in speaking. The most difficult task was task 2, question. I’m always very nervous while doing it, it seems to me that 45 seconds isn’t enough for me. That’s why this is what I should practice more – task 2.
