Аннотация

        Данный конспект является описанием урока английского языка для учащихся 6го класса общеобразовательной школы, изучающих английский язык со 2 го класса, занимающихся по учебнику Биболетовой М. З., Добрыниной Н. В., Трубаневой Н. Н. “Enjoy English – 5-6 ”  Обнинск: Титул 2010 г

        Данный урок является повторительно – обобщающим в разделе “ Animals in our life” и опирается на использование активного словарного запаса, активизацию изученных грамматических структур раздела и умения учащихся использовать их в устной монологической, диалогической и письменной речи.

        На уроке деятельность учащихся организуется с помощью индивидуальной, парной и групповой форм работы.

        Урок построен с использованием информационно – коммуникационных технологий (интерактивная доска), применяются игровые и здоровьесберегающие технологии.

        Предлагаемая разработка может представлять интерес для учителей иностранного языка.

Сценарий урока английского языка

Тема урока:   Animals in danger

Класс:  6

Форма проведения: повторительно-обобщающий урок

Цель: систематизировать знания, полученные при изучении раздела «Animals in our life » 

Практические задачи:

1. Образовательные:

• формирование практических умений и навыков иноязычной речевой деятельности учащихся (в чтении, письме, аудировании и говорении).
• учить поисковому чтению  и формировать навыки работы со справочной литературой
• учить правильно употреблять языковые средства, строить фразы, повышать общую культуру выражения мысли.

2. Развивающие:

• развивать мышление, память, логику, воображение.
• развитие знаний, умений и навыков изучаемого языка
• развитие творческих способностей учащихся.
• развивать самостоятельность.
• развивать кругозор в области изучаемого языка.

3. Воспитательные:

• экологическое воспитание (бережное отношение к животным);
• формировать мотивацию к изучению иностранного языка.
• воспитание чувства коллективизма, взаимовыручки, умений

         работать в паре и группе.

Ход урока

(Slide 1 –  pictures of endangered animals)

1. Организационный момент. Постановка задач урока

Teacher(T) - Glad to see you, children! Sit down, please  and let’s start our lesson.

 Целеполагание.

T - Look at these animals. They  look  upset. Can you guess why

Pupil(P)1 - They  have  got problems.

T - What problems may they have?

P2 - People kill animals for fun

P3- Animals have no good food and they  die.

T - Unfortunately, you are right. Look at the pictures again  and guess what  subject  we are going to speak about today?

(Slide 2 – an advert of  World Wide Fund for Nature, slogans to save animals)

P - Animals in danger. We must help them.

T - You are right; we are going to discuss endangered animals and try to help to  solve the problem.

1. Активизация изученной лексики

T - Let’s see how well you know them. Look at these characteristics and guess the animal.

(Slide 3 – a picture of vertical stripes)

What animals have  these characteristics?

P - It’s a tiger or a zebra.

 Использование опции затемнение экрана интерактивной доски позволяет  обучающимся увидеть правильный ответ.

T - What animals can have such teeth?

P -A lion or an alligator can.

T - What animal  is very big?

P - It’s an elephant

T - What animals can swim fast?

P - Sharks and dolphins can swim fast.

T - What animal can be poisonous

P - A snake can

T - What endangered animals have horns?

P - A  rhinoceros does

T- What animal has many spots on its body

P - A giraffe does.

T - What animals  are brightly colored?

P - Parrots are.

T- Very nice indeed, you have named all the animals in my slides. I hope, you remember that they are endangered animals  and there are very few of them  in the wild.

T- Which of them live in Russia?

P - Tigers do

T- Have you ever seen any of these animals?

P- Yes, we have.

T- Where did you see the endangered animals?

P- We saw these animals at the Zoo

 T - Now we are going to watch a short video. (For example, download from YouTube- “The Moscow Zoo”)

In pairs write down the names of other endangered animals that you will see in the film. (ученики записывают названия животных  на листочках в парах, кто с кем сидит)

T —> Ps What animals have you got?  What animals were there? Let’s check if we have  named all of them.

4 . Работа с текстом -  поисковое чтение. Развитие навыков монологической речи.

T -A minute ago we watched a video about wild animals living in the Moscow zoo.

Do you think animals are happy to stay in their cages all the time?

P- Yes, I think they are happy to live in the zoo.\ No, I don't think they are happy to live in the zoo.

T-  Now you are going to read the text and say what advantages and disadvantages  zoos have. You will work in two groups. One group will look for  good things in zoos, and  another one will look for bad things there. Don't forget to take notes on your sheets of paper.

Keeping wild animals in zoos

Is it good for animals to live in zoos?

First of all people keep wild animals in zoos just to save them from merciless killing. Secondly, people take care of animals, feed them, while in wild life they have to find food themselves. That is one of the advantages of zoos. In addition, living in zoos gives a real chance  to animals to be protected from other animals. They must not defend their territory, to fight against their enemies, to be afraid of a sudden attack. Their life in zoos rather peaceful and safe.

Apart from pluses of keeping animals in zoos, there are some minuses of it. Firstly, zoos are public places, and  a lot of visitors come to watch animals every day. people take photos of  them, feed them, even anger them. All these things make  animals sad and nervous . Moreover, wild animals have no enough space in the cage both to run and jump. Their life is not interesting comparing with life in forests, steppes or jungles

On the whole, keeping wild animals in zoos is a good chance  to save them for other generations, however zoos make wild animals rather domestic and tame, that is not so good for them. All in all we think it would be better to make  wild animals' parks than zoos, because  animals  could  live  safe and free there.

T - Well done! Now it's turn for the second group to speak  about disadvantages of animals living in the zoo 

The Answer

• a lot of visitors come to watch animals every day

•  moreover, wild animals have no enough space in the cage both to run and jump.

T - A good job. Now you can see the whole table. What conclusions can we  make?  Do you think animals are happy  in the zoo?

P3 - On one hand people keep wild animals in zoos just to save them from merciless killing. It is good. But on the other hand a lot of visitors come to watch animals every day, people take photos of them, feed them, even anger them. All these things make  animals sad and nervous

T - Thank you all. It was very interesting to listen to your opinions on the problem.

5.Активизация знаний грамматики английского языка. Развитие навыков   образования  вопросительных предложений

T - Now again you are going to work in groups, this time there will be three groups. Pretend that you are having a meeting with the director of the Moscow zoo, he is answering your questions about animals and their problems. You  have his answers on your tables, you should make up questions from the words  given to your group according to the director's answers in your sheets.

Учащимся предлагаются  листы  с небольшим диалогом, где пропущены вопросительные предложения. Они также получают конверт с разрезанными частями вопросов, которые они должны поставить в правильном порядке.

      Контроль  данного задания осуществляется при помощи интерактивной      доски ( опция - перемещение) учащиеся переставляют слова на доске, чтобы получился вопрос  ( Slide 14 - 19)

Раздаточный материал

- You:  Do you have endangered animals in your zoo?

- Director: Yes, we do.

- You:  What endangered animals do you have?

- Director: Tigers, lions, pandas, seals.

- You:  The zookeepers are always friendly to the animals, aren't they?

- Director: Of course, they are.

- You:  Why do lions and tigers live in cages in the zoo?

- Director: Because they can attack people and other animals.

- You:   What mustn't visitors do in the zoo?

- Director: They mustn’t feed animals and take their pets to the zoo.

- You:  What are the working hours of the zoo?

- Director: It is open from 11a. m. - 8 p. m. every day a week

4. Подведение итогов. Советы как помочь животным.

T. You are smart students. You have done this task very well. But  nevertheless ,what we  should do to save  all the animals and birds on this planet. Will you try to fill in the  table on the blackboard .

(be friendly with animals, take care of pets, feed birds and help them in winter, keep animals in cages, kill animals for fun, take many pictures of  animals, wear fur coats, destroy animals' homes, open wildlife parks ,gather food for homeless animals )

Учащиеся заполняют таблицу на интерактивной доске, используя опцию перемещения, они расставляют фразы в соответствующую колонку, что следует делать и , что не следует делать, чтобы помочь животным .

5. Рефлексия.

T - What did we learn at the lesson?

P - We learnt  about endangered animals.

  -  We learnt that animals are not always happy in zoos

   T-  What should we do? What shouldn’t we do?

P - We should be friendly with animals  and we shouldn't destroy their homes

T -   Do you think the Earth liked our lesson?

P - Of course, it did.

6. Домашнее задание

Your homework is to make a poster how to help and how to save endangered animals.  And be ready to present it for your classmates and friends.
