план-конспект урока по английскому языку (5 класс)

Цели:

• познакомить учащихся с национальным праздником «Рождество», его традициями и особенностями.
• воспитывать у учащихся чувство уважения к национальным традициям и праздникам.
•  практиковать учащихся в устной речи и аудировании.
• формировать положительную мотивацию учения, развивать внимание, воображение, догадку.

Оснащение: слайд-презентация (приложение 1), стихи, рождественские открытки и сувениры, приготовленные учащимися.

- T: Dear children and guests! On the 25th of December people celebrate one of the most beautiful holidays. This holiday is the favourite holiday of all English children and grown-ups.

I want you to listen to a short poem and guess what holiday we are going to speak about. This is mix of Russian and English.

Santa Claus стучит к нам в дверь:
“Open, open поскорей!”
Ему дети говорят: «Please, come in»
Он очень рад.
Видит он a Christmas tree,
И гирлянды, и шары.
А на самом на верху
Видит он a star – звезду.
“Do you like it?” – “Yes, I do!
Merry Christmas to you!”

T: What holiday are we going to speak about?

Pl: We’ll speak about Christmas.

Look at these words. Read them and translate.

T: What do you know about Christmas?

Pl1: We know that Christmas is a favorite holiday for English people, especially for children.

Pl 2: Christmas is a religious holiday. They celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.

Pl 3: I think Christmas is a family holiday. Families gather for traditional Christmas dinner. They exchange presents and congratulate each other.

Pl 4: People decorate Christmas tree and their houses. Send Christmas cards to their relatives and friends.

Teacher: Children, have you got such cards? Congratulate each other.

Pl 5: The main person of Christmas is Santa Claus. Слайд 3, приложение 1.

He lives in the North Pole. On the 25th of December he hitches his reindeer to a sleigh and brings the presents for children in the Christmas Stocking.

 Pl 6: On the 26th of December at 12 a.m. English families have Christmas dinner. Christmas table consists of a turkey or goose, ham, mashed potatoes and a pudding or an apple-pie.

T: You have just listened to a lot about Christmas , and now let’s make a small competition

“Who knows more about Christmas”. The winner will get a prize.

1. It’s a holiday, which is celebrated on the 25-th of December. (Christmas.)
2. It is an old man, who comes from the North Pole on his sledge and brings presents for everybody. (Santa Claus.)
3. It is decorated with lights and toys and tinsel and is in all houses and squares. (Christmas tree.)
4. It is a thing which is very dear to children at Christmas, as they find presents in it in the morning. (Stocking.)
5. Christmas song. What is it’s name? (Carol.)
6. What are the Christmas sweets? (Candies.)
7. It is a traditional food, which people cook for Christmas party (turkey, pudding).

Teacher: Now children. Let’s play a game “Pass the Parcel”.

Here’s something wrapped in a lot of the papers. I’ll stand in a circle and pass the parcel to the person next to me . There is music playing. When the music stops, you take off one of the papers. The music starts again. The person, who takes the last piece, wins the prize.

(Children play the game).

Teacher: Have you prepared any Christmas poems?

(Учащиеся встают в круг, зажигают бенгальские огни, читают стихи.)
