The longer I stay here the better I like it При сравнении двух предметов или лиц, обладающих одинаковыми качествами, часто употребляется конструкция as…as – такой…как. Ted is as tall as Bob . При сравнении двух предметов или лиц, обладающих неодинаковыми качествами, употребляется конструкция not so …as Ted is not so tall as Bob.

При сравнении одного предмета с другим после прилагательного употребляется союз – чем . This house is bigger than that one Уменьшение или увеличение качества выражается с помощью less…than и more …than. This book is more interesting than that one. This subject is less important than that one.
