Цель урока

 обобщить знания, умения и навыки в контексте темы

Задачи урока

 Практическая: развитие умений решения коммуникативной задачи с различной степенью сложности.

Образовательная:  активизировать и совершенствовать актуальный словарный запас обучающихся.Развитие навыков речевой деятельности на базе лексико-грам.материала

Развивающие: формировать и развивать учебно-организационные умения и навыки (самостоятельная работа, коллективная деятельность);
содействовать установлению в сознании  устойчивых связей между накопленным и новым опытом познавательной и практической деятельности;развивать способность к рефлексии, как важнейшей составляющей умения учиться.  

Воспитательные: развивать настойчивость и умение преодолевать трудности для достижения намеченной цели на примере выдающихся людей;
активизировать познавательную инициативу обучающихся и формировать их социальную компетентность; воспитывать уважение к себе, к личности другого человека, к окружающему миру.

Ожидаемые учебные результаты:

Воспитать человека благородного, обладающего не только ключевыми языковыми компетенциями , но и высоким уровнем самосознания (согласно гуманно-личностной технологии).

1. Орг.момент T-Cl: Good morning, dear pupils! Nice to meet you! (How are you going on?) I hope that you are ready for the lesson. 

2.Стадия вызова. (Целеполагание). T-Cl: Look at the first slide. Read the following statement. Can you guess what are we going to speak about?  How do you understand these words? (Учащиеся делают предположения, ставят цели урока)

3.1.T: What is a harmony? (познакомить учащихся с синонимами)

Let’s write a sinquan(раб.в групп).Example:

Harmony

Happiness, satisfaction

To love, to help, to feel delighted

Harmony makes me happy

Balance

3.2.T-Cl: For me harmony means balance- balance of colours, balance of lines, balance between the inner world and appearance .  I suggest you doing the next exercise. Choose any photo you want and describe. Before doing the ex., let’s repeat active vocabulary. (P1,P2)  (*Video )

 4.1. Discussion. T (Cl –P3, P4) Comment on the following slide

 4.2. Т-Cl: Do you appreciate happy moments in your life? Let’s open your photo album. Depict these picture using the plan.

 Imagine that these are photos from your photo album. Choose one photo to present to your friend.

You will have to start speaking in 1.5 minutes and will speak for not more than 2 minutes (15–18 sentences). In your talk remember to speak about: 

• where and when the photo was taken;
• what/who is in the photo;
• what is happening ;
• why you keep the photo in your album;
• why you decided to show the picture to your friend.

You have to talk continuously, starting with: "I've chosen photo №  

4.3. Discussion the following points (slides) ‘Being happy means being friendly|helping other people”

T-P6:      This woman was very sympathetic. She helped poor and ill people. She was easy-going and warm-hearted. Her name was…(Mother Teresa)

T-P7:      This man believed in  harmony in the world . He was against racial discrimination. He said , “ I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.” (King)

T-P8:  This person fought for human rights and concordance (harmony) between people. He spent 27 years in prison. (Mandela).

1. Complete the sentences using the appropriate  form:

Past Simple or Past Cont-s

1.Jane (do) her homework when the telephone (ring) 2. I (enter) the room and (see) Peter who (sleep) on the sofa. 3.He (come) to visit the Robinsons last Monday. 4. I (see) him at 6 p.m. 5. 5. When mum (open) the door  she (see) Tom who (clean) the room.

Present Perfect or Present Perfect Cont-s

1. We (have known |have been knowing ) each other for a long time.
2. I (have learnt|have been learning)  English since the 2nd form.
3. We (be) friends since childhood.

Past Perfect or Past Perfect Cont-s        

1. When I got to the party, it already (start). 2.He said that he (work) in the garden for 2 hours. 3. When I came to the cinema the film (begin).

Adjectives with ending ing or ed (interesting or interested)

 4.6. T:Being in harmony with oneself means achieving goals.

Misha, Elina would you please tell us about famous people who have achieved their goals using strong points of their character.  M,E-Cl. Обсуждение статей , подготов.учащимися (М,Э), вопросы от класса, классу. ‘Tom Cruise”, ‘Douglas Bader-Aleksey Maresiev” (журнал Speak out). ( E: Tom had a lot of problems, problems with dislexia. Nevertheless, he managed to achieve success). (M: Both Bader and Maresiev were strong and persistant…)

Применение изученного

 5.1.Sophia has prepared some tips how to be happy ( Article“25 ways how to be happy” Speak out –Hot issues). 

Подведение итогов урока: объяснение домашнего задания, оценивание, выводы по уроку (чему научились).

 5.2. Brief  commenting on the last slides (Dear pupils, be optimistic in any situation!) 

5.3. Рефлексия: Are you satisfied with your work? (Now I can…It was difficult|interesting)

6. Homework T-Cl:– Read the words of wisdom of Mother Teresa and get ready to make comments.
