ЧТЕНИЕ

Do you love films? Are you interested in how to make a movie? Then there is no better way to start than this. Become a member of the Youth Film Society and join our young film fans who are learning to make their own films. Being a member gives you an opportunity to take part in courses and events, see the best movies. You will also buy cheaper cinema tickets around the country.

Now everyone can watch any movie through the Internet by sitting in their house while our Youth Film Society helps to watch really good films. It began to present quality classical films to its members quite a long time ago. Our home is right in the center of the town near the post office tower. Although we normally show our films on Sunday afternoons, we have now added Saturdays for some of our more popular movies. We are also planning to start film clubs in schools and colleges.

For the past 20 years, the Youth Film Society has given teenagers the opportunity to learn how to make a film. Our expert teachers include professional film-makers and film critics. We also hold special events with film-makers, directors, cinematographers and other people who inform our members about their work. You can follow of all our activities on our website and Facebook pages. Besides that we run some interesting events during a year, for example, a summer film camp and ,of course, our annual film festival.

The Youth Film Society offers a number of short film courses for teenagers throughout a year. Our courses include the basics in film making, the history and theory of film and many practical activities. Learn how to write a script, how to act and how to put all your know together to make a film.

The summer camp takes place every year. It’s a chance to meet other young people who like cinema and movie-making. Within a week at a camp, all the members of the society will spend time together; you will take part in film-making and many other activities. This year’s camp will take place between the 2nd  and 9th of July. Depending on the interest shown, we may run a second camp later in the month.

In our film festival, which takes place every year, we show short and full feature films made by kids and teenagers(under 18). If you send us a film, you will have the chance not only to see it on the screen, but you will also be able to win 5000 pounds! Each year we choose 40 films and yours may be one of them. You don’t have to pay if you are under 18. The festival takes place over 2 weeks in April. This year’s festival will take place between the 5th and 19th of April.
