That’s good. I see that you have known about the education in Australia almost everything. And what  about the education in Russia? Are there any differences between the education in Australia and in Russia?

P1 – project “Education in Russia”.

Education in Russia.

Educational system in Russia differs from the system in Australia.

Kindergartens are required in Russia. They help the family to bring up children and prepare them for school. In the day nurseries children learn the ABCs of reading, writing and counting. Children are divided into three age groups: 3-5-years-olds, 5-6- years-olds and 6- years-olds. In the form of games, the children learn not only to read, write and count, but also to draw, design simple things, sign and dance.

Secondary education in Russia lasts 11 years. There are different types of  secondary schools such as gymnasiums, lyceums, schools providing general education, specialized schools where certain subjects, such as Physics, Mathematics or foreign languages are studied according to an advanced program. Secondary school consists of  three levels.

The primary school consists of  grades one through four, and start at the age of six or seven. This has become basic schooling for all.

The second level is five years of instruction with a wide choice of subjects. Parents may choose the curriculum according to the abilities and inclinations of their children.

The third level consists of two years of instruction. Every pupil can make particular choice which subjects he or she wants to study.

Russian school children have their examination at the end of ninth and eleventh grades.

School takes place every day of the week, except Sunday. Every lesson lasts 45 minuets with breaks from 10 to 20  minutes. The school year begins on September 1 and ends in May. It is divided into four terms, with holidays up to10 days between them.

Children have a variety of extra curricular activities such as dances, knitting, wrestling, computer courses and other. Children may organize concerts and competitions.

P2 – project “My school”.

My School.

We live in Chetyrchy. Our village is situated in a beautiful place. It is surrounded green forests, beautiful lakes and meadows. Our school stands on the bank of the river Prost. This is our school. It is not very big, but it is nice, light, cosy. It has one floor. About 60 pupils study at our school. There is the cloak-room, the teacher’s room, lobby, library, dining-room, headmaster’s room and different room for History, Literature, Math’s, English and Tatar in our school. The rooms are well-equipped. We also have a computer room where we can play or work with a computer. Our school library isn’t very big but there we can find almost every book we study at our Literature classes. But at the same time we don’t have gym at school, so we can’t play basketball and volleyball. We have sports ground out side hear our school where we run, jump, play football and ski in winter. Our work shop is attached to our school. Boys make useful things there. There are few clubs in our school. The pupils choose the club according to their interests.

In front of our school there is a plot and flowerbeds. We grow vegetables and beautiful flowers there. We water and take care of them.

Our school day begins at 8:30 a.m. and ends at 3 p.m. We have a break for lunch in the middle of the day. We do not wear uniforms to school. Each class lasts 45 minutes. At the end of school year the pupils of the 9th and 11th grades have exams. We have holidays between terms. They are in autumn, in winter in spring and in summer.

I like my school because everyone gets along with one another. I enjoy spending time with my friends and teachers.

P3 – project “My dream School”.

School of My Dream.

I’d like to study in a big modern building with lifts and air-conditioners. There are a lot of school-cleaners so the students don’t have to clean the classroom. In this school there must be a cloak-room and a restaurant, where waiters serve the students. There is a swimming pool, a tennis court, a gym and a lot of clubs such as a chess club, artistic club. The restaurant, the pool, the clubs are free.

There is a computer in every class in order the students can play computer games, do their homework and to communicate with their friends from different countries. Students in my dream school wear a nice uniform, because you never have to think about what you are going to wear to school and you don’t spend much money on new clothes.

The school I want to go to occupies a large territory Outside near my school there is a football field, a tennis court, a big garden and a beautiful park. Also there is merry-go-round and other side-shows where children can always have fun for free of course.

I’d like my dreams come true.
