I. Начало урока. Организационный момент.

T. Good morning, children!
P. Good morning!
T. I’m glad to see you.
P. We’re glad to see you, too.
T. What date is it today?
P. Today is the twenty sixth of January.
T. What day is it today?
P. Today is Saturday.

T: How are you? Are you fine?  Look at the screen, choose a face expressing your mood and draw it in your exercise-book.

 I’m fine. I’m so-so. I’m not very well. Let me see your faces, please. I see you are in a very good mood.

T: Well, let’s begin our lesson.

II. Объявление цели урока.

At first guess the riddle, please.

You go there  six days a week.  English  children go there too.. It is a place where you and they can find the answers to the questions. It is a place where you can have a lot of friends. You can learn about interesting things there. What is this place? (It is a school) (Right you are) So the theme of our lesson today is “Schools in Britain and in Russia”

T: And what does school mean for you? (кластер)

T:  Now, could you tell me what we are going to do at our lesson today?

S-t: Today we are going to speak about school, school subjects.

T: Very good, also we’ll compare school education in Russia and in Great Britain.

T: Let’s revise our vocabulary. Look at them, please. They are in Russian and you should say them in English.

T: Now, answer my questions please.

1. Do you go to a public or a state school? (We go to a state school)

2. Do boys and girls study together? (Yes, they do)

4. Do you have to wear a uniform? (Yes, we do)

5. What foreign language do you learn? (We learn English)

6. Do you get a scholarship?

7. What is your favourite subject? Name only one subject.(My favourite subject is …)

IV.  Практическая деятельность учащихся.

T:  Let’s play a game of «Wordsearch». You work in two groups. Your should find as many  names of school subjects as you can. You have only 2 minutes. There are 12 subjects. Who will read in your group? Well done!

T: You know in Britain and in Russia pupils study the same subjects. Go to the blackboard and match the descriptions of the subjects and school subjects

 T: As you know British and Russian pupils should follow some school rules. Do you know them?  Let’s work in two groups again. You are the first group and you tell us what you should do at school. You are the second group and you tell us what you shouldn’t do at school. You may use the words on the blackboard. Read for a minute.

We should \ shouldn’t (On the board)

wear school uniform; – miss the lessons;  keep good discipline; - bring bubble gum to school.-- come to school in time; - respect our teachers; - be polite; - get bad marks;  -get good marks; - always do homework;  - be late for school; -be active at the lesson. -talk with the classmates during the lesson; - drop litter.

VI. 1. T: Let’s look at the system of school education in Great Britain and in Russia.

Great Britain

2. And now look at the school uniform.

As you see there is a little difference in two systems of educations.

3. Mark system in England is differ from Russia. Let’s compare, look at the screen, please.

A – 90-100 -excellent                                       “5” is excellent

B – 80-89 – good                                              “4” is good

C – 70-79 – satisfactory                                   “3” is satisfactory

D – 60-69 bad                                                   “2” is  bad

E – 0-59 poor.                                                   “1” is poor.

                        

VII. T: We know that Misha Inin is in England and he sent us a letter. I’d like you to read a text of the letter and fill in his timetable.

I’ve got my new timetable. We’ve got five Maths lessons. There’re at nine o’clock on Monday, Tuesday and Friday and at 10.40 on the other two days. Then on Wednesday and Thursday at nine o’clock I’ve got History. On Monday and Tuesday we have Chemistry at ten forty. Then on Friday at ten forty I’ve got Literature. The mornings are not fun!

The afternoons are great. Lunch is at one o’clock and after lunch on Tuesday and Thursday we’ve got P.E. On Wednesday and Friday afternoons we’ve got Technology. And on Monday – we can choose football or hockey.

IX. Рефлексия.

T: Our lesson is coming to the end.  Answer my question, please.

Красный - Favourite \Любимый

Синий - Difficult\Трудный

Белый - Easy\ Легкий

Желтый - Interesting/Интересный

Зеленый - Important/ Важный

Фиолетовый - Necessary/ Необходимый

Черный - Boring/ Скучный

X. Подведение итогов.

T: So, children what have we done today?

Have you spoken about school and school subjects? –Yes, we have.

Have you read a text?

Have you answered  the questions?

Have you done exercises?

XI. Домашнее задание.

If you’d like to get a “5” you should find the information about school holidays in England. If you’d like to get a “4” translate a text “ Eton”, if you think that “3” is enough
