Learning more about London.

Цель урока:

1. обобщить знания учащихся по теме: «Learning more about London»;
2. активизировать употребление в речи учащихся лексики по теме.

Задачи урока:

1. совершенствование навыка употребления структур в  Present Perfect;
2. тренировка учащихся в употреблении причастий прошедшего времени;
3. привитие интереса к истории и достопримечательностям страны изучаемого языка.

Оборудование: карта Лондона, фотографии с видами Лондона, презентация, проекты детей,

                           карточки с 3 формами глаголов.

Ход урока.

1. Организационный момент.

         Good morning, dear girls and boys! I am glad to see you. How are you? How are things going on?

         How is your mother? How is your father?

2. Речевая зарядка. Разговор о весне.

           What is spring?

           Which spring months do you know?

           What does March bring us?

           Want does April bring us?

           What does May bring us?

3. Cообщение целей урока.Today we shall speak about sightseeing in London and Present Perfect tense. To begin with let’s repeat 3 forms of the verbs.

4. Работа по картинкам: look at the pictures and answer my questions.

        -Has the watered the flowers?

        -Has she watered the trees?

        -What has she done?  etc.

5. Cоставление предложений по таблице.Make up as many sentences as you can.

     VI. Translate into English.

6. Физминутка. Hands up, hands down,

8. Игра “Угадай-ка”.

1.        They say it is the most beautiful place in London. In the middle of it a monument to Admiral Nelson is
situated. The monument includes four bronze lions. There are two fountains in it.

(It is Trafalgar Square.)

1. It is a wonderful building. The Queen Victoria Memorial is in front of it. It takes you ten minutes to get from this building to Trafalgar Square, the centre of London. The Queen of Great Britain lives there. (Buckingham Palace.)
2. It was a fortress, a palace, a prison and the King's Zoo. Now it is a museum. You can see a lot of interesting things in the halls of this building. William the Conqueror built it in the eleventh century. Twelve black ravens live in it. People believe that London will be rich while the ravens live there.

4.        It is one of the greatest English churches. It is not far from the Tower of London. The famous English
architect Sir Christopher Wren built it in the 17th century after the Great Fire. It is a fine building with
many columns and towers. In one of the towers there is one of the largest bells in the world.

(St. Paul's Cathedral.)

5.        It is more than nine hundred years old. It was built by King Edward in 1065. The legend says that it
was founded by St Peter himself. There are many monuments and statues there, many English kings
and queens are buried there. It is famous for the Poet's Corner. It is one of the most famous and
beautiful churches in London. This church has two tall towers.

(Westminster Abbey.)

6.        They are long grey buildings with towers. The large clock in one of the towers is "Big Ben". You can
hear the sound of "Big Ben" every hour in London. The clock and the bell got their names after Sir
Benjamin Hall. The members of the British Parliament work in these buildings.

(The Houses of Parliament.)

7.        There are many old and new beautiful parks in London. This park is the largest one. It is one of the most popular
places of Londoners during the hot summer days. The park is famous for its Speaker's Corner.

(Hyde Park.)

8.        It is built in 1894. It is next to the Tower of London. It is one of the famous bridges across the Thames. It opens and
ships go up and down the River Thames.
