Особую сложность при написании письма личного характера представляют два момента: ответить на три вопроса и задать три вопроса. Использование таких стратегийи технологии развития критического мышления, как «Свободное письмо», «Ассоциативный куст», а также «Кластер», дают в этом плане хорошие результаты.

Рекомендации к  написанию письма личного характера

(Из опыта работы)

     1. Организация письма:

- адрес (в правом верхнем углу письма, можно краткий);

- дата (под адресом);

- обращение на отдельной строке;

- вступление (благодарность за полученное письмо; извинение, что задержался с ответом; реакция на содержание полученного письма; можно поинтересоваться, как дела, или написать, как у вас обстоят дела);

- основная часть письма: а) ответы на 3 вопроса; б) нужно задать 3 вопроса;

- заключительная часть включает объяснение, почему заканчиваете письмо и надежды на последующие контакты;

- завершающая фраза;

- подпись;

- PS, если в этом есть необходимость.

Как пишутся адрес и дата?

Правильный полный вариант:

flat/number

house street

city (town, village)

country

index

Дата:

date/month/ year(BE)

month/date/year (AE)

Правильный краткий вариант:

city (town, village)       

country

Как пишется:

Обращение:   Dear Ann, …

Упоминание о дальнейших контактах: Keep in touch. Hope to hear from you soon. Write back soon. …

Завершающая фраза: Much love, Best wishes, Lots of love, All the best, …

извинения за то, что задержались с ответом:

  1. Sorry I haven΄t answer earlier but I was really very busy with my school.
  2. I am sorry for not having written to you earlier, but I have had a lot of things to do.
  3. Sorry I haven’t been in touch for so long.

благодарности за полученное письмо:

  1. I was glad to get/receive your letter.
  2. Thanks for your letter.
  3. I was so happy to get your letter.
  4. Thank you for your letter. It was very pleasant to receive it. I was really happy.
  5. I was greatly pleased to hear from you. Thank you for your telephone call. Unfortunately we didn΄t have enough time to discuss all the news.
  6. Thank you for your letter. I was very glad to read it./It was very pleasant to read it.
  7. I was awfully glad to get your letter.

реакции на содержание полученного письма:

2. Решение коммуникативной задачи.  Уже с 3 класса, используя технологию «Свободное письмо», я знакомлю ребят с этим видом деятельности. Начинаю с того, что пишу на доске один вопрос и прошу на него дать письменный ответ в тетради. При этом напоминаю детям: «Ребята, помните, что отвечая на вопрос, вы высказываете своё мнение».  (Эта фраза напоминает ребятам, что предложение нужно начать с фразы I think…). Или проговорить What do you think? Например:

Question: What does Hobbit like to eat?

Answer: I think Hobbit likes sweets.

Далее задание усложняется. Вопросов становится два, а затем и три. И для учащихся среднего звена предлагаю такие задания. Прежде всего, у каждого ребёнка есть список средств логической связи, который постоянно можно пополнять:

…, write back and tell me about your tastes in clothes. Do you follow any fashion trends? Do you enjoy wearing a school uniform? What do you usually wearing for parties?

Task 3: Insert the parentheses where necessary.

The pleasantest season in Europe is spring. In spring the weather is fine and all nature is at its loveliest. The trees put forth little buds and new leaves; the meadows grow green again; the flowers begin to bloom. The farmers till the soil and sow the seed. The nightingale, swallow, cuckoo and other migratory birds come back from Italy or Africa, build their nests, lay and hatch their eggs and bear their young ones. The new crop is shooting up, and if there are no sharp frosts during the night, nature looks full of promise, and the corn fields are made bright by blue corn – flowers and red poppies.

Task 4: Read the extract from the personal letter. Think of the topic of the letter. Write down the key – words on this topic. Answer the questions.

… Lots of people do sports but I am not keen on any sport. I prefer reading detective stories. My parents keep saying that everyone should do some sport. Do you agree with them and why? What sport do you do? What else do you do to keep fit?  … 

  1. Topic: Sport
  2. Key – words: 1) do sport,  for pleasure, for business; 2) win/lose, be good at, go swimming,; 3) improve ones health, do exercises at home, join a sport club, get rid of.
  3. As far as I understand your parents want you to do sport. I think they are right, because sport makes people healthy and disciplined. To tell the truth I am not good at sport, but I go swimming in summer. I spend much time skating in winter. Its  worth it. To keep fit I join a sport club. Moreover, in the morning I switch on the TV and follow exercises. I try to eat more fiber food. It improves my health. I do my best to get   rid of snacking.
