ДЕНЬ СВЯТОГО ВАЛЕНТИНА

VALENTINE’S DAY

внеклассное мероприятие

на английском языке

 для учащихся 10-11 классов

                                                                                                                  учитель: Онорина Е.С.

Цель: повышение мотивации к изучению английского языка, формирование устойчивого интереса к предмету.

Задачи:

1. развивающие:

расширять познавательную деятельность обучающихся;

развивать интеллектуальные и творческие способности обучающихся;

2. воспитательные:

формировать общечеловеческие ценности;

формировать у обучающихся уважение к другим народам и культурам;

формировать осмысленное отношение к изучению английского языка;

3. учебные:

активизировать лексику по теме в речи обучающихся;

практиковать обучающихся в аудировании;

отрабатывать грамматический навык употребления видовременных форм английского глагола.

Реквизит: одежда священника, перо, плакат с зарешечённым окном тюрьмы, бумажные сердечки, валентинки.

Ход мероприятия:

Ведущий 1:

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to our Valentine’s party. This happy day celebrates friendship, love and romance. It’s time to tell all those special people in your life how much you like them. Those special people are your Mum and Dad, your grandparents, sisters and brothers, friends and teachers. Valentine’s Day is a good time to tell them how you feel.

Ведущий 2:

The 14 of February is a day for fun and greetings. Boys and girls, husbands and wives, friends and neighbors usually exchange greetings of affection, love and respect. Exchanging love-tokens could be a serious matter, leading to marriage or it could be a kind of game.

Ведущий 1:

So let’s have some fun today. Are you happy today? If you are happy and really want to show it, clap your hands, stamp your feet, snap your fingers, say OK!

Ведущий 2:

And just to keep our spirits high let’s sing the song:

 The more we are together the happier we are

By the way, do you know the origin of this funny holiday?

Ведущий 1:

Frankly speaking nobody knows exactly how the celebration of Valentine’s Day started. But there are some legends and versions about it. Let’s recall some of them (учащиеся выходят и рассказывают некоторые версии происхождения праздника, затем выключается свет, заходит ученик, играющий роль Св.Валентина, садится за стол и пишет пером послание за решёткой).

Can you guess who it may be? What was he? Where is he now? Why was he imprisoned? He was put into prison because he would not worship the Roman idols. This priest loved to play with little children. When he was in prison his little friends missed him badly and sent him loving messages.

Ведущий 2:

What is he doing now? May be he is writing one of his caring letters to his young friends, (ведущий обращается к священнику):

Pastor Valentine, we are glad to see you here. What is your message for us?

Священник:

My children, I’ve come from the distant past to remind you that all good we have in our hearts is from God, our creator. Trust him and you will be full of true love, friendship and patience. You lack these merits now. God loves you! God bless you! Amen.

Ведущий 1:

Yes, God is love! And god loves you! Let’s glorify the Lord! He is good all the time!

Now, dear guests, help yourselves to these delicious heart shaped cakes and cookies (начинается чаепитие, и проводятся следующие игры):

1. Attention, please. You have halves of hearts with names of famous lovers. You are to match them. For example, who loved Juliette? It’s up to you to decide..
2. Game “Who stole my heart?” (A pupil stands with his back to the class holding a paper heart behind his back. Another pupil takes his heart and the first is to guess the person. He has 3 guesses).
3. Looking through the greetings and valentines (звучит музыка и продолжается чаепитие).
4. “A Wiggle-with-me story” (игра с движениями, ).

Учитель:

 I am going to tell you a story about a fluffy little bunny and you should demonstrate the actions that correspond with the certain words. Whenever I say the word “cottontail”, shake your bottom. Whenever I say “pink nose”, wrinkle your nose like a bunny. Whenever I say “soft brown eyes”, blink your eyes 3 times. Whenever I say “long tall ears”, hold your arms over your head and wiggle your hands. Let’s practice the actions before the story begins.

Now, here’s the story. Listen carefully and do not forget your part.

Once upon a time there was a fluffy little bunny that had a pink nose, a cottontail, soft brown eyes and long tall ears that could hear any sound for miles away. One day when the bunny was bounding through the forest with his little cottontail bobbing along behind him, he came upon a fallen log blocking his path. He stopped and perked up his long tall ears to listen for any sound that might tell him of danger. He sniffed the air with his pink nose for the scent of an enemy. His soft brown eyes looked in every direction. Suddenly, there was a snap of a twig. The cottontail stopped bobbing. Then, there it was!..It moved quietly through the forest on the same path where the bunny stood. It was coming closer and closer. The bunny didn’t move. It began feeling frightened!...Who should come bounding down the path…but another little bunny just like him1 it was SHE! She had a  pink nose, a cottontail, soft brown eyes and long tall ears that could hear any sound for miles around. She stopped and looked at the bunny with her soft brown eyes. They smiled at each other. Then they turned and they hopped off down the path together.

Заключение:

Our Valentine’s party has come to its end. Hope you have had a great and enjoyable time with your friends and filled your hearts with nice warm emotions that you will  be sharing with all the people around you.
