Пояснительная записка

Людям, изучающим иностранные языки необходимо иметь основные сведения о культуре стран изучаемых языков. Соотнести собственную культуру с культурой страны изучаемого языка может лишь тот студент, который знает и любит свою национальную культуру. Задача приобщения к культуре и духовным ценностям своего народа может успешно решаться на уроках иностранного языка, и здесь очень важны знания о родной стране и о родном крае. Для этого мною был подготовлен урок по теме «Мой родной город Кумертау», приуроченный к 60 – летию города. Урок – обобщения построен в форме конференции, на которой студенты защищают свои проекты.

На протяжении нескольких уроков мы изучали тему «Мой город Кумертау», студенты разделились на подгруппы и готовили проекты по следующим направлениям:

1. Кумертау: от прошлого к настоящему.
2. Достопримечательности города.
3. Градообразующее предприятие –

 Авиационное производственное предприятие.

4. Почетные люди города Кумертау.

При работе над созданием презентаций нами были решены следующие задачи:

1. ознакомление с краеведческим материалом о родном городе на русском и иностранном языках;
2. адаптация или перевод на английский язык отобранного материала;
3. разработка компьютерных  презентаций на основе текстов.

Краеведческий материал о городе Кумертау оформлен в виде компьютерной презентации, который может быть использован при изучении темы "Родной город".

Создание и использование компьютерных презентаций помогает обеспечить индивидуализацию и дифференциацию обучения с учетом способностей обучающихся, их уровня обученности, склонностей, тем самым обеспечивая личностно- ориентированный подход в обучении.

Тема: Our native town Kumertau

Тип урока: Урок обобщения и систематизации знаний по теме «Our native town Kumertau»

Форма урока – урок - проект

Цель: систематизировать знания, умения, навыки по всем видам речевой деятельности по теме "Мой родной город".

Задачи:

Обучающие:

1) Совершенствование речевых умений, умения общего понимания иноязычной речи на слух.

2) Углубление и систематизация знаний по истории города Кумертау.

3) Формирование навыков представления материала в сопровождении компьютерной презентации.

Развивающие:

1) Развивать речевые умения: умения обобщать и систематизировать знания по теме и делать сообщения.

2) Развитие навыков участия в дискуссии и навыков работы с дополнительными источниками.

3) Развивать творческие способности студентов и познавательный интерес в осуществлении иноязычной речевой деятельности.

Воспитательные:

1) Формирование информационных и коммуникативных компетенций.

2) Воспитание умения грамотно вести дискуссию.

3) Воспитание профессионально важных качеств: творческой активности; самостоятельности, дисциплинированности, потребности в постоянном совершенствовании своих и умений.

Средства обучения: мультимедиапроектор, компьютер, видеоролик «Kumertau ‘s investment potential» (ТРК «Арис» - 2012), песня «Кумертау», презентация по ходу урока, студенческие проекты – презентации, раздаточный материал (тексты, задания, викторина).

Методы обучения: метод проектов, информационно–развивающий, проблемно- поисковый.

Ход урока:

1. Организационный момент.

Teacher: Good afternoon, students! I'm glad to see you. How are you?

Who is on duty today? What day is it today? What is the date today? Is anybody absent today?

  Today we have an unusual lesson. Today we are going to speak about our native town Kumertau. We have conference. The aim of our conference is to discuss the history, important dates and sights, people of the town. You’ll watch the film, discuss it, do the tasks and listen to your projects. Let’s begin our lesson.

Please, answer some questions:

What is your native town? Where is it situated?

Is it a small ancient town or a modern industrial city?

How old is it? Do you know when it was founded?

Kumertau was founded in 1953. It’s situated in the south of Republic of Bashkortostan. It is beautiful and modern town. We love it very much.

2. Фонетическая зарядка.

Make English sentences using the words on the topic and necessary grammar structures. (приложение 1)

3. Актуализация лексических единиц.

Now let’s watch the computer slides about our town. (Преподаватель показывает презентацию «Мой родной Кумертау», студенты внимательно смотрят и слушают).

Совершенствование навыков чтения с полным пониманием.

Now, read the text about the history of your native town. Has the town changed? How does it look now? Then answer the questions to the text. (приложение 2)

Чтение текста. Проверка понимания происходит при помощи вопросов к тексту.

4. Совершенствование навыков письма. Контроль понимания просмотренного фильма. You have watched the film, now open the exercise – books and do the tasks. Complete the sentences according to the information of this film. (приложение 3)
5. Совершенствование навыков монологической и диалогической речи, Развитие навыков участия в дискуссии и навыков работы с дополнительными источниками.

Teacher. Some students have prepared their projects. Let’s listen to them and be ready to ask them questions on the projects.

So, the first group presents project.

Students: The theme of our project is “Kumertau: from past times to nowadays” (студенты выступают с докладом, с презентацией)

Teacher: Now, your questions, please.

3. “Aircraft Manufacturing Company”.

(После выступления группы студенты- слушатели  задают вопросы по выступлению). Teacher: thanks, students. Your projects are good and interesting.

5. Совершенствование навыков аудирования. Просмотр фильма на английском языке.

Teacher: Now we are going to watch an interesting film about modern Kumertau. It was made by TV- reports of the company Aris in 2012. Be very carefully, and then you’ll have to do the tasks. (просмотр короткометражного видеоролика о современном городе «Kumertau ‘s investment potential» )

6. Развитие социокультурной компетенции (викторина). Работа в группах. (приложение 3)

 Teacher:  I have prepared a very interesting quiz for you, but at first we’ll be divided into two groups.” Let’s see who the most attentive student is at the lesson. So, let’s start!

Students: - Let’s with pleasure.

Студенты делятся на 2 команды, а затем отвечают на вопросы викторины. Та команда, которая отвечает быстрее и правильнее, набирает наибольшее количество баллов и считается победителем.

7. Подведение итогов.

Преподаватель подводит итоги работы групп, поощряет активных студентов.

Teacher: Well, You have learnt many interesting things at the lesson: architecture of Kumertau, its parts, attractions and people, I hope our lesson was interesting.

9. Домашнее задание. используя текст распечатки, составить план текста, приготовить пересказ.

Our town Kumertau

Kumertau is situated in the south of the Republic of Bashkortostan. It was founded in 1953 after the Babaevskoe hydrogenous cal – field had been discovered on the territory of the present town. This fact is reflected in the name of our town because the word “Kumertau” is translated from Bashkir language as “Coal Mountain”.

60 years ago people of different nationalities and professions arrived at desert highland territory to link their fates with coal – mining.  The first builders got over a number of difficulties because the territory of Kumertau was far from rail – motor ways and sources of electric power.  

On September 9, 1947, the first building was laid. During the years of its activity Kumertau Coal Mining Enterprise supplied the economy of Russia and Republic of Bashkortostan with over 200 million tons of coal fuel.

On February, 1953 the miners’ settlement got the status of the town. Nowadays we can’t define Kumertau as “a town of coal – miners” because the reserves of coal got exhausted.

Today Kumertau is an industrial town with advanced economy.  The most important industry is aircraft production. But the following branches have been developing: electric power engineering, mechanical engineering, construction materials production, wood – and metal working and others.

The state Kumertau Aircraft Production Enterprise is situated in the Republic of Bashkortostan of the Russian Federation. It was established in 1962 and has been producing different kinds of the aviation technique including helicopters and aircraft. During 35 years the enterprise has been specializing in manufacturing of the co – axial rotor helicopters designed by the KAMOV Company. The Ka – 26 helicopters of different variants were produced by the KumAPE from 1968 to 1979. For this period of time more than 800 helicopters were issued. They were carried out to such countries as Hungary, Bulgaria, Romania, Germany, Japan, France, Sweden. KA-32 helicopter has become very popular in many regions of the world as being a very reliable means to extinguish fires and having effective results in fire elimination. The helicopter has no analogues in the given class of the helicopters.

Kumertau is often defined as “a cultural centre of the south of Bashkortostan”. Kumertau Department of the Republican Cultural – and – Methodical Centre “Duslik” offers its stage to the guests from different districts of our Republic. The achievements of our children’s art, music and choreography schools are very impressive: their pupils regularly win prizes in the contents of either Republican or International value.

Kumertau is a town of sportsmen. 20,000 athletes take part in competitions in 55 kinds of sport. Children and adults can have their training in the Sport Centre “Prometey” (“Prometheus”), the Centre of Children’s Creative Activity, children’s sports clubs and associations. Our sportsmen traditionally hosts summer and winter competitions of all Russian and Republican level in ski – racing, acrobatic aerobics, power lifting, and kick – boxing and different kinds of wrestling.

There are 4 state colleges in the town: Aviation Technical College, Teachers Training College, Kumertau Miner College, and Kumertau Branch of Sterlitamak Medical College. There are 2 Kumertau Branches of the state universities: Ufa State Aviation Technical University and Orenburg State University.

Kumertau Aviation Technical School was established in 1985 as a branch of Ufa Aviation Technical School. Since 1991 it has been functioning as an independent educational establishment. In 2011 Kumertau Aviation Technical School was renamed as Kumertau Aviation Technical College and it was joined to the Federal State Budgetary Educational Establishment of Higher Training “Ufa State Aviation Technical University”. Our college trains specialists of secondary professional level in the following specialties: “Mechanical Engineering”,   “Aircraft Engineering”, “Electrical and Electromechanical Equipment Maintenance”, “Welding Production” and “Information systems”.

Students take part in Olympiads in different subjects, science conferences, sports competitions, newspapers publishing and TV – programmes making.

Kumertau TV Aris reflects all aspects of town life.

Our town Kumertau is quite young but certain achievements made by citizens in the sphere of economy, culture, education, medicine and health allow us to place it among the most prominent cities of our Republic of Bashkortostan.
