Музыкальная гостиная по английскому языку,

посвященная творчеству группы «АВВА»

 с использованием мультимедийной презентации

 “Musical Party. ABBA”, 9 «Б» класс.

Основные задачи урока:

1. Знакомство учащихся с творчеством популярной шведской группы “ABBA”;
2. Активизация познавательной деятельности учащихся, расширение их кругозора;
3. Развитие интереса учащихся к культурному наследию Швеции;
4. Создание творческой атмосферы в гостиной.

Ход урока

ОРГМОМЕНТ. Teacher 1: Good morning boys and girls, good morning dear guests!

Teacher 2: Welcome to our musical party!

Teacher 1: Today we’ll talk about the famous pop-group “ABBA”

Teacher 2: You’ll come to know some facts from the history of the group, we’ll sing some of their songs.

Teacher 1: After the presentation of the group you’ll be given the “ABBA-quiz” , so be ready to find the correct answers to each point.

Teacher 2: Well, let’s start our party!

ВСТУПЛЕНИЕ. Girl 1: ABBA is the most famous Swedish pop group. They enjoyed immense popularity and consistent success in the charts of the English-speaking countries during 1972 -1982. They are one of the world’s bestselling bands, having sold more than 400 million records worldwide.

НАЧАЛО КАРЬЕРЫ. Girl 2: The ABBA story began in June 1966 when Bjorn Ulvaeus met Benny Andersson for the first time. The two performers began composing songs together.

Girl 3: Both Benny and Bjorn began their musical careers at the age of 18. They wrote their songs both in Swedish and English. But only in collaboration the pair wrote and produce some of their first real hits.

Girl 4: Agnetha Faltskog was noted by the music critics as a talented singer and songwriter when she was only 17. Girl 1: Anni-Frid Lyngstad sang from the age of 13 with various dance bands and in 1967 even won a national talent competition.

ПОБЕДА В ЕВРОВИДЕНИИ. Girl 2: Benny and Bjorn met Agnetha and Anni-Frid in 1969. They took the name “ABBA” (an acronym of the members’ first names). With the single “Waterloo” they became the first Swedish group to win the Eurovision competition in 1978.

AББA – МЕГАГРУППА. Girl 3: After the first international success ABBA made tours in Europe and Australia. Their concerts attracted immense media attention and by 1978 ABBA was a mega group.

ПЕСНЯ“EAGLE”. Teacher 1: Let’s sing ABBA’s song “Eagle”! (The pupils are singing the song “Eagle” altogether)

ПЕСНЯ “GIMME!GIMME! GIMME!” Girl 4: ABBA’s single “Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!” was released in the autumn of 1979 and became an international success during their tour of Canada, Europe and the USA.

AББA – ЛУЧШАЯ ГРУППА1980 ГОДА. Girl 1: In March 1980 ABBA took their tour to Japan and it was one of their last live concerts. They also were recognized as The Best Vocal Group Of the Year. “The Winner Takes It All” was recorded at that time.

РОСТПОПУЛЯРНОСТИ И ПЕСНЯ “DANCING QUEEN”. Girl 4: With the release of different greatest hits compilations ABBA’s popularity grew. Their song “Dancing Queen» topped the charts all over the world. In April 1977,“Dancing  Queen” became ABBA’s only US Number  One.

ГРУППА ПРЕКРАЩАЕТ СОВМЕСТНЫЕ ВЫСТУПЛЕНИЯ. Girl 1: ABBA has never officially announced the end of the group but in 1982 they stopped working together and the group is now considered dissolved.

Girl 2: The music of ABBA has been rearranged into the successful musical “Mamma Mia!”  

ОТКРЫТИЕ МУЗЕЯ “AББA”. Girl 3: In 2009 ABBA the Museum will be opened in Stockholm. You will be able to see instruments used by the group, handwritten group lyrics and a display of different awards. Visitors will be able to record their own ABBA songs. Girl 4: Thank you for the music, ABBA!

СПАСИБО ЗАМУЗЫКУ, AББA! Teacher 1: Let’s sing our final song “Thank You For  The Music”! (The students are singing the song “Thank You For The Music” altogether)

Teacher 2: Well, you’ve been listening to our presentation very  carefully, and now it’s time to do “ABBA-quiz”.

РАБОТА С ВИКТОРИНОЙ К ПРЕЗЕНТАЦИИ. (The pupils take the lists of “ABBA-quiz” and start finding the correct answers) Teacher 1: So, the time is over, please, hand me your lists!
