Воспитательное мероприятие по английскому языку – лингвострановедческая викторина «What? Where?When?»

Цель: расширения объема и углубления лингвострановедческих и страноведческих знаний о странах изучаемого языка, их науке и культуре, исторических и современных реалиях, общественных деятелях, месте этих стран в мировом сообществе, мировой культуре.

Задачи: 1. развивать умения учащихся отвечать на поставленные вопросы;

              2. обобщение и систематизация полученных знаний;

              3.развитие и повышение интереса к предмету;

             4. развитие познавательных интересов учащихся.

Оборудование: презентация, компьютер и мультимедийный проектор.

Ход мероприятия:

 Hello,pupils! We are glad to see you.

Today we have gathered all together in this classroom to play an interesting game “WHAT? WHERE? WHEN?”.  The topic of our game is “The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and the USA”. You can ask why these two countries and we answer because they are the two main countries where people speak English. BUT! But their languages differ in a way as well as their culture, traditions, people, way of life and so on.

So, let’s begin. Today you are divided in 2 groups. You can answer in turn. We have 40 questions for you, before answer it you should choose one of the questions and you have 1 minute to answer it. If you can’t answer or you are wrong the second group will answer it. For each right answer you will get 2 points but there are 4 lucky questions for which you will get 5 points.
