Охрана окружающей среды и экологические проблемы очень актуальны в наши дни. Цель урока: прививать школьникам любовь и уважительное отношение к своей земле, родной природе, научить школьников бережно относиться к окружающей среде.

Цель урока:

  1. Проконтролировать умения и навыки учащихся вести беседу, высказывать свое мнение по теме.
  2. Привить школьникам любовь и уважительное отношение к своей земле, стране и народам стран изучаемого языка.
  3. Научить школьников бережно относиться к окружающей среде.

План урока:

  1. Вступительное слово учителя 1 части урока.
  2. Стихотворение “The beauty of the world”, “Hug the world”.
  3. Наша планета – Земля (вопросы учащихся).
  4. Рассказы учащихся: Великобритания, Россия, Наша республика – Саха.
  5. Тест по теме.
  6. Песня «The more we are together».
  7. 2 часть урока. Вступительное слово учителя.
  8. Стихотворение “What have they done to the world”.
  9. Обсуждение по теме «Охрана окружающей среды».
  10. Предложения учащихся по теме.
  11. Стихотворение «Don’t kill the world».
  12. Заключительное слово учителя. Выводы по теме.
  13. Песня «Как сохранить мир».

Наглядность:

Карты, символы Англии, плакат, рисунки по теме, глобус.

  1. Вступительное слово учителя.
  1. Children, today we have our conclusion lesson on the topics “World around us”. Today we have many guests from other ulus of our republic.

At our lesson we shall talk and discuss about many problems, connected with our topic: about the Earth, continents and countries, English – speaking countries, about our  country Russian and our republic Sakha, how to protect the Earth, nature, animals.

  1. Now let’s recite  the poem “The beauty of the world”? “Hug the Earth”.
  2. Now imagine that you are from space. You are space girls and boys. And you  want to know  more  about  our planet – the Earth. Slava and Nikita help you to learn about  the Earth,answering for  your questions. They are from Republic Sakha? They are pupils/
  • Slava? Tell a little about the Earth.

Slava: The planet we live on is the Earth/ The Earth  is round/ If you  look at the  Earth from the space you will be able to see land, seas, oceans, continents and even countries. Sometimes you can look them through clouds. They look very beautiful when the sun rises or sets. The continents are very large. Oceans and  seas  wash them and separate them from each other.  Now, I’ll answer your quest ions.

  1. How many continents (oceans) are there on the Earth?
  2. What are they?
  3. What seas (countries, mountains, rivers, planets) do you know?
  4. What seas (countries, mountains, rivers, planets) are there in the world?
  5. How many countries are there in Africa (40)? In Australia?
  6. What country is the largest (smallest) in the world? (Russia? The Vatican)
  7. Where is the Nile, Elbrus?
  8. What river is the longest?

What mountain is the highest?

What planet is the biggest?

What planet is the nearest to the sun? (Mercury)

What planet is the fastest? (Mercury)

What planet is the smallest? (Pluto)

  1. T. Now, let’s sing our song “The more we are todether”.
  2. T. Now, let’s continue our topic “World around us”. We’ll talk and discuss about the protection of environment, how to protect our Earth, how  to prevent water pollution, air pollution and soil pollution.
  3. T. Nurgustana will recite a poem “What have they done to the world”.  
  4. T. Children, now I want you to discuss these problems. Please be active in discussion. Who want`s to be the first?  P. – I want to be the first. April 22 is Earth Day. People all over the world think about our planet. They think about air, water, plants and animals on the Earth. They say our planet is in danger. Many people do not know how to keep the waters clean and the air fresh. But they are ready to do it. They try and help nature.

P2. I want add this. Many animals and birds on the Earth are disappearing now days. Many of them are in danger. Indian tigers and African elephants are among them. People have hunted and killed many tigers in India and a lot of elephants in Africa. Why? Tigers and elephants are often dangerous animals. Tigers can kill cows, sheep, other domestic animals and sometimes they can also kill men. Some people are afraid of tigers and kill them to save their domestic animals and their lives. But some people have often hunted tigers for fun and for their beautiful skin. They can easily sell the skin and get a lot of money as the prices are high. The result is very sad.

T. What other problems would you like to be discussed (to discuss)?

P3. I would like to add something.

Many less dangerous wild animals and birds are also disappearing from the Earth. Modern life is bad for them. The air is not fresh. The water is not clean. They don`t often have good things to eat and space to live. You can find their names in the Red Book. You can find the names of some fish there too.

T. One more problem for the discussion, please.

P4. I want to add a few words about water.

Water is very important for life on the Earth. It is in oceans, seas, rivers and lakes. There is much water on our planet and at the same time there is little water on it. It is so because very little water on the Earth is good for drinking. In many rivers and lakes water is very dirty. Sometimes people cannot swim even in the sea because the sea and the seaside are not clean. In many places water is not drinkable. It is dangerous to use it when you cook. Even fish die in such water.

T. Children, please suggest one more problem (suggest a problem for discussion).

P5. I would like to add some more facts.

Lake Baikal is the deepest fresh water lake on the Earth. It is 1741 meters deep. The lake is very beautiful but now it is in great danger, because of the factories which are near it. At some places the water in the lake is so dirty that it can kill animals and plants in Baikal and near it.

T. Have you any problems for discussion?

P6. I want to tell about the temperature. The way people live has changed the climate on our planet. Nowadays  the temperature is rising. We do not have real Russian winter in Moscow any more. In the north of Europe the climate has become milder and warmer too. If the temperature grow by 3 – 4 degrees if will be impossible to live on the planet.

T. What else do you wish to suggest for discussion?  

P7. Some people`s activities do a lot of harm to the forest. People cut down trees to build farms, homes and roads. Many animals and plants lose their homes. This is bad for the Earth`s  air too. Modern plants and factories send a lot of smoke into air. This is also very bad, because now days it`s difficult to breathe in big cities.

P8. Now I want to tell you about the ecological problems of our republic and our ulus Suntar.

  1. T. What must people do to save animals, plants, nature? What can you suggest?
  • We must take care of nature.
  • We must save wild animals.
  • We must find the right balance between land, people, animals.
  • We must to protect life on the Earth, to save our planet for people.
  • Keep the land, air, and water clean.
  • Let’s make the world a better place.
  • Put litter away.
  • Help nature. Protect it.
  • The Earth is our home. Don’t pollute it.
  • Be a friend to fish. Don’t   throw rubbish into water.
  • When you hike, leave the place clean.
  • To plant more trees.

  2. T. We are at the end of the lesson. I’m sure that you are real friend of our planet. The air we breath, the soil on which we stand and walk, the water we drink are all parts of the environment. It is our home – the Earth. We must to protect life on the Earth, to save our planet for people. Now I want Sardana to sing the song about the Earth. It is a call to the people of the world to save the Earth. Please, Sardana, sing the song.
