I ЭТАП. ОРГАНИЗАЦИОННЫЙ.

Целеполагание. (1,5 min)

Good afternoon, my dear students! I’m glad to see you. Look at these mini-posters and say me, please. What will we talk about?

Yes, you are right. Today we are going to discuss ecological problems, what causes them and how to protect our Earth.

Why do we need to discuss ecological problems?

II ЭТАП. ОСНОВНОЙ

And now let’s read this small phonetic poem (1,5 min)

Whenever the weather is cold.

Whenever the weather is hot.

We'll whether the weather,

whatever the weather,

whether we like it or not.

How do you understand and translate it?

  "Погода холодная,
   Или погода жаркая Мы воспринимаем ее
   Какой бы она не была,
   Нравится она нам или нет."

TASK 1. 2 min

Look at the pictures. What can you see? What are the people doing? Why? Tell the class your ideas.

The people want to save the Earth. Why? Name three most important reasons for saving the Earth.

TASK 2. Brainstorming. 3 min

 What ecological problems are there on the Earth now? Work in pairs and brainstorm your ideas.

Task 3. Viewing (3 min) and speaking. (2 min)

Do you want to watch a Russian cartoon on ecological problems? Enjoy it and tell the class what it is about.

Make use of the word combinations from the box.

Task 5. Grammar. Differentiated approach. (ex.56 p.54) (4 min)

Lets’ talk about what would happen if people were more nature-wise. Complete the sentences using Conditional II.

Task 7. Being green. How can you help the environment? Read the ‘green’ tips and complete the spaces with “Don’t” where it is necessary. (2 min)
