1.Оргмомент и целеполагание

Teacher: Good morning, students. At first I want to know how you are? Are you fine?

It’s the beginning of spring, the time of love, new ideas. What do you imagine when you think about spring?

Yes, spring is the sun, the blue sky, birds’ songs. You notice that birds and animals make our life brighter. But are their lives always easy? That’s a pity but no.

На экране картинки с изображением природных парков и заповедников.

Animals and birds need our help. What can we do to protect them? Look at the pictures, maybe they’ll help you to answer.

You are right people make special places like national parks and nature reserves. Let’s speak about them. Look at the pictures one more time and guess where these places are situated? Do you know these places? What NP or NR do you know? Where are they situated? Have you ever been to the NP?

So, the theme of our lesson is National parks and nature reserves of Russia.

2.Актуализация опорных знаний. Работа с лексикой.

I hope you realize the beauty of our country. Russia is rich in national parks and nature reserves. But do you know the differences between these words (definition)?

Now I want you to work in groups of 6. On your desks you have sheets of papers with the characteristics of NP and NR. Your task will be to match the definition and its characteristics. The first group will make a poster about NP, the second one about NR.

Thank you for your work. Let’s look at your posters. Read about NP and NR.

What features do they have in common? What are differences?

Now let’s sum up. Using these posters tell us the definition of NP and NR. What is the main aim of these places? (protect)

3.Работа с грамматикой.

I think you can imagine how many NP and NR our country has. Have you got any ideas how many NP (62) and NR (111) are in Russia. We can’t speak about all of them during one lesson.

I want you to read about the most popular NP and NR. About top-10 places popular among the tourists. But the sentences have some gaps. Your task is to fill in them. Can you guess what words they are?

Look at the board. These are the most popular tourist sites. Try to guess their names using your sentences.

And read the proper text aloud.

You see Curonian Spit among them. Can you guess what its place is? Why?

Домашнее задание

Make a story or a presentation about NP or NR of our country or another country.

4.Работа с аудированием.

From ___________________________ it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Using your notes let’s make a short story about the CS.

5.Работа с текстом.

You can see a short text about the CS.

Read this text and tell me please what the main idea is.

On the night of January 29, 1945, the combined landing, consisting of 162 volunteers of the 113th regiment of the 32nd Rifle Division, began to force the Memel Strait. The liberation of Kurish Nerung (now the Curonian Spit) was attended by soldiers of the 32nd Rifle Division of the Upper Dnieper, the 19th Rifle Corps, the 4th Shock Army of the 1st Baltic Front, part of the 43rd Army as part of the 115th Red Banner Kholm and 325th Dvinsk rifle divisions. Losses of the Soviet troops during the fighting from January 25 to February 4 amounted to 403 people killed and 1,066 wounded.

Yes, the text is about CS during the Great Patriotic war. We should remember this war and its heroes.

You know that the year 2020 is the year of memory and glory. And the local authorities are going to open a museum devoted to the Great Patriotic war on the CS.

6.Письмо

I hope people will never forget these years. Our grandparents and great grandparents save CS for the future. Now it’s a national park.

Think what words you will tell the future generation about CS. Why should we think about the future? Why should we protect our nature?

Write down the message for the future generation.

Работа в парах. На листах пишут. Прикрепляют на доску.

7.Подведение итогов, рефлексия.

Well, our country is rich in animals, birds and plants. There are a lot of NP and NR. What is the main aim of these places? (protect and save for the future generations)

Read what you want to tell to the future generation. Stick your messages on the board.

I’d like to add one more message from…M. Prishvin “To protect nature means to protect the homeland”

Now let’s make a capsule of time. We’ll put our messages in this bottle. Close it and write “Open in 2030”. We’ll leave this capsule in your school museum like a message for the future generations of students of gymnasium.
