по УМК Биболетовой "Enjoy English"- 7

Тема: "Моя школа"

Цели урока:

1. Развитие коммуникативных способностей обучающихся с помощью различных видов речевой деятельности.

2. Повторение и обобщение пройденного материала по теме “Школьная жизнь”.

3. Развитие личностного потенциала обучающегося.

Задачи:

Образовательные:

1)  Развитие монологической и диалогической речи по теме;

2)  Закрепление навыков в чтении текста и развитие умения работы с ним;

3)  Закрепление правил английской грамматики (модальные глаголы);

Воспитательные:

1) Знакомство с системой  образования разных стран.

    2) Повышение мотивации к изучению английского языка

    3) Развитие и воспитание у школьников понимания важности изучения АЯ в современном мире и потребности пользоваться им как средством общения, познания, самореализации и социальной адаптации

4) формирование положительного отношения к школьной жизни и одноклассникам, учителям

5) формирование положительного отношения к мнению окружающих, к труду учителей.

     Развивающие:

1) Развитие критического мышления;

2) Развитие умения диалогической и монологической речи;

3) Формирование и развитие умений и навыков работы с наглядностью, способности осуществлять творческий подход к решению коммуникативных задач;

4) Развитие навыков языковой догадки, языковой реакции, памяти, внимания, мышления, восприятия и инициативы.

Тип урока: урок комбинированного типа посвящен развитию репродуктивных речевых навыков. Содержит элементы технологии развития критического мышления. 

Форма и виды работы: Индивидуальная, фронтальная, групповая.

Ход урока

1. Организационный момент.

- Good morning boys and girls. How are you? Today we have guests at the lesson. Please, greet our guests. 

- Read a poem, please.   What do you think we are going to speak about today?

Today we will talk about your School.  We’ll also speak about schools in Russia and Great Britain, about your school activities and teachers. I hope that it will be interesting.

2. Фонетическая зарядка.

T: Let’s start our lesson with some words and expressions. Look at the blackboard. Let’s read all together and you’ll translate them.

private school, to learn by heart, to argue, to work hard, to get marks, free education, boring lessons, secondary school, study languages, school life, argument, to have tests, private education, strict discipline,  school uniform, punishment, attitude

3. Активизация знаний по теме.

«Толстые» и «тонкие» вопросы.

 Учитель просит учащихся выбрать  карточки с «толстыми» и «тонкими» вопросами:

 And now answer the questions, please.

1)  What new subjects do you have at school this year?

2)  What is your favourite subject? Why?

3)  How many lessons do you have a day?

4) What lessons do you have today?

5)  How many pupils do you have in your class?

6)  Do pupils wear a uniform?

7)  Do you have a library at school?

8)  Do you like your school? Why?

9)  Do your parents pay for your education?

4. Совершенствование лексических навыков.

«Синквейн»

Thank you for your answers. Let’s make a cinquain about our «school». But first of all, let’s remember the rules of a cinquain. Divide into pairs, please, and let’s start. You’ll have 2 minutes.

1. Write down 1 noun.

2. write down 2 adjectives.

3. write down 3 verbs.

4. write down 1 sentence which expresses your opinion about school.

5. write down 1 word -synonym to the word «school».

Time is over. Read your answers.  

5.  Развитие языковой догадки.

Can you imagine a school without teachers? There are many teachers in our school. I know you like them very much. Now I’ll give you 3 photos. Children describe them without names and you should guess their names. (Учащиеся задают общие вопросы, например, Is she (he) tall? Is her hair fair? Does she(he) teach us to run? draw? sing? и догадываются фотографию какого учителя держит ученик).

6. Физминутка. (Head, shoulders, knees and toes…)

7. Активизация и повторение лексико-грамматического материала.

6. Pupils … stand up when a teacher comes into the class.

7. Pupils … bring mobile phones to class.

8. Pupils … respect their teacher.

9. Pupils … draw or write on the desks.

10. Pupils … work hard at the lesson.

8. Чтение.

 Учащимся предлагается при чтении отметить на полях текста V, - ,+, ?

После чтения текста с маркировкой учащиеся заполняют таблицу «Инсерт», состоящую из 4-х колонок.

About my school

 No doubt that school is our second home. We spend a lot of time at school acquiring deep knowledge, which can help us to understand our life better. It plays an important role in our lives. It is here that characters and views are formed. It is at this time that they grow and make friends and learn to understand life. School helps to mould a personality. Whatever school years may be, they remain in our hearts forever.

The school where I study is situated not far from my house. It was built in 1974. It is a modern four- storeyed building of all typical design. There is a big sports ground in front of the school, too. Here on the sports ground pupils have classes in physical training. They also have different holidays here.

We learn different subjects at school. And school develops our good work and study habits. If we want to develop speaking, reading and writing skills we ought to write spelling tests, compositions and dictations, to read more additional literature, to go on educational excursions and nature trips. We ought to acquire a profound and serious knowledge. Industriousness and responsibility, diligent work at the lessons, teacher's encouragement gives us opportunity to develop good work habits.

 После работы с текстом формулируют развернутый ответ на вопрос.

9. Обобщение пройденного материала. «Мозговой Штурм», кластеры.

Now, let`s have a brainstorm activity.  Divide into two groups. The first will brainstorm all the adjectives that come to your mind when you think about our school. The second will speak about the verbs connected with the word school. Work in groups, please. (2 группы учащихся заполняют кластеры)

Are you ready? Now I ask _____ to speak for your group.

10. Рефлексия

-Our lesson is coming to the end. You worked hard. So, boys and girls, what have we done today?

                   Have you read a text?     ---- Yes, we have.

                   Have we spoken about teachers and students?       -----Yes, we have.

                   Have we expressed our opinion of school? -----Yes, we have.

        What did you like most?

        What was the most difficult?

        What was the easiest?

11. Заключительный этап урока. 

Оценка работы учащихся на уроке. Домашнее задание.

I want to finish our lesson with the words of Henry Ford, one of the famous American people. Look at the blackboard, read and translate.

 Anyone who stops learning is old, whether at 20 or 80. Anyone who keeps learning stays young.

Write down 5 positive and 5 negative sides of school. (Подготовленные учащиеся пишут небольшое сочинение, остальные учащиеся пишут в виде коротких предложений: Our school is beautiful)
