— развивать воображение при моделировании ситуаций общения;

Воспитательные:

— воспитывать интерес к традициям страны изучаемого языка.

And now you will read some extracts from different fairy tales. You should guess the name of the fairy tale. What fairy tales are these extracts taken from?

1) So she was considering in her own mind (as well as she could, for the hot day made her feel very sleepy and stupid), whether the pleasure of making a daisy-chain would be worth the trouble of getting up and picking the daisies, when suddenly a White Rabbit with pink eyes ran close by her.

2) Mr. and Mrs. Brown first meet him on a railway platform while waiting for their daughter Judy. He is sitting on an old leather suitcase near the lost property office, wearing an unusual hat and a label round his neck which reads `Please Look After This Bear. Thank You'. He explains that he has been sent from Peru by his Aunt Lucy who has had to go into the Home for Retired Bears in Lima.

3)  It had a perfectly round door like a porthole, painted green, with a shiny yellow brass knob in the exact middle. The door opened on to a tube-shaped hall like a tunnel: a very comfortable tunnel without smoke, with panelled walls, and floors tiled and carpeted, provided with polished chairs, and lots and lots of pegs for hats and coats. The tunnel wound on and on, going fairly but not quite straight into the side of the hill - The Hill, as all the people for many miles round called it - and many little round doors opened out of it, first on one side and then on another.

4) Once upon the time there was a boy who lived in the small English town. His name was John. He lived with his mum and dad and he had his favourite dog Gray. John was a student of the secondary school. John didn`t like to go to school. He studied badly and  deceived his parents very often. But he was mad about walking and playng with Gray in the park or in the forest.

You can`t do it because it will be our own fairy tale.
