INTRODUCTION

The topic of this study is: “ Ways to learn English using the Internet.”

Relevance: 

The topic of this work is highly relevant today. The age of IT technology and digitalization has transformed learning and application methods through the use of the internet. Today, English is essential at any age and in any social class. Why is English a trend in society today?

Modern life dictates its own conditions, one of which is the need to know English at least at a basic level. Competition today, even when applying for a job, favors employees who speak English. Radio and television all around us also dictate their own rules, and a huge number of songs and films are in English. Online, all registrations are done in English. Free opportunities to travel abroad also require basic English.

To sum it up : the target audience, which requires English, has no age restrictions.

Why is learning English online gaining momentum? The reason is simple. Everyone has the internet these days. Wi-Fi isn't just available at home anymore, as every mobile phone has internet access. Families now have two or three phones, whereas just 20 years ago, only a landline existed, and not everyone had even that. People today are too busy and don't have the time to attend English classes en masse.

To save time and money, and to facilitate faster learning, smart algorithms are being developed online to help you memorize words faster. Interactive content is easily engaging and encourages language learning. With a colorful interface and interactive tasks, the internet allows you to save money on books, notebooks, and reference books.

A computer is the most suitable aid for language learning, the purpose of which is communication. Computer-assisted learning has become particularly successful recently due to the development of the Internet. After all, English is the " number one language" in international communication, and the Internet is the key that opens the door to learning English. Purpose research :         

1. Explore the possibilities of learning English using the Internet.
2. Create an automated Assistant Bot that works 24 hours a day.

Tasks:

1. to reveal the variety of forms of using computers and software in mastering the English language;
2. Learn English effectively and conveniently with the help of IT technologies
3. compile a list of educational websites on the English language on the Internet;

Project type : gaming , research.

The subject of the study is the study of English on the Internet, and the object is the analysis of educational programs and websites on the Internet .         Hypothesis: " By using the internet during the learning process, you can save time on learning English and study English online 24/7." The following methods were used in the study : 

• search, aimed at selecting programs and websites for language learning;

Research stages:

1. Preparatory;
2. Organizational;        
3. Generalizing.

The theoretical basis for writing the work was materials from the Internet and educational materials.

Main part: The chosen topic of my research is not accidental, since my love for the English language came through the Internet.

I was struggling academically in my language classes. My determination to learn English helped me find a way out. Since I'm in school, I spend most of my day there, doing homework, and there were no other ways to learn. My solution began with self-study : using YouTube , an online English school, and mobile apps.

Application area:

• educational (English lesson)
• extracurricular activities (club work)
• social (career guidance)

Effectiveness: A project has been created for independent, fast, and effective learning of English using the Internet.

A Chat Bot assistant was created in Messenger Telegram.

 CHAPTER I. Theoretical part         

Modern technologies in education and everyday life .          

1. The role of computers and the Internet in our lives. 

         The life of a modern , cutting-edge person is unthinkable without computers and digital technologies. Nowadays, virtually every area of human activity is connected in one way or another with computers.         The computer represents one of the most amazing and significant achievements of human labor and thought. For most of us, a computer is not a luxury, but an essential tool in the home         or work environment. The use of a computer as a tool for working with information is very diverse and multifaceted . It can browse an online library and find the information you need in a matter of seconds. The computer helps you, teaches you, and entertains you.

The Internet is the most popular network—a worldwide system of interconnected computer networks for storing and transmitting information. Just a few decades ago, the Internet was a fantasy, but today we can't imagine life without a computer connected to the World Wide Web. It transmits a vast number of technical documents, magazine articles, business letters, poems and prose, opinions and views, games and jokes—in short, anything that can be converted into computer data and transmitted via communication channels. You are guaranteed fast and error-free information exchange, rapid access, and processing.

2. The Internet's potential for learning English

Today, the internet offers vast information capabilities and equally impressive services. It offers a unique opportunity for foreign language learners to access texts, listen to, and communicate with native speakers. With the development of the internet, opportunities for learning English have increased significantly. Because English is widely spoken in many parts of the world, the internet is filled with information in English, which also serves an educational purpose. The internet is considered a technological breakthrough of recent decades, having had a profound impact on the development of educational technologies. In addition to the numerous recommendations and educational materials available online, the technical capabilities of the World Wide Web make it possible to conduct educational activities directly online. Almost all teaching materials for English, online tests, and multimedia are available online. All of these are widely used in English language learning. The internet allows students to put their English skills into practice immediately online. Using the internet, people can communicate with people from different countries and ethnic and cultural communities, thereby not only improving their language skills but also developing their ability to perceive English speech in a variety of settings. When communicating online, there's no need to simulate a situation or role-play, as they are already in a real-life environment. Many English teachers also recommend using the internet to practice speech etiquette, as it's easier to learn speech etiquette in real-life situations, as you're in a real language environment.

We can use the Internet:

-for independent search of information within the framework of work on the lesson topic;

• for independent study;
• for independent preparation for tests.

Additionally, you can work independently to improve your foreign language skills outside of class time. For this purpose, there are a wide variety of online courses for different categories of learners, designed for self-study or tutored instruction.

Participating in chats with teenagers from around the world is an additional, very interesting, and useful opportunity to make new contacts through real-life speaking practice. This type of language learning hasn't been sufficiently studied yet, but it's only a matter of time. Discussions and conversations not only allow for the exchange of information on a particular issue but also provide an introduction to elements of another culture.

The internet is a universal means of searching for information and sharing knowledge. Its undeniable advantage is that it offers an inexhaustible source of information on any topic.

Thus, using the information resources of the Internet, you can achieve the following results: a) learn to read correctly;

b) improve pronunciation skills;

c) improve grammar skills;

d) expand your vocabulary;

d) become familiar with cultural knowledge, including speech etiquette, the peculiarities of speech behavior of different peoples in communication conditions, the peculiarities of culture, and traditions of the country of the language being studied.

1.3 Benefits of Knowing English         

The most important aspect of motivation in learning English is that it is the language of modern computer technology.

English also serves as an analytical language. Highly qualified professionals speak English at a high level, allowing programmers, editors, and similar professionals to find work abroad. English is also a global language of negotiations. Politics, economics, and business are all conducted in English.

To make your trip useful and effective, you can learn about the destination, the route, and inquire about traditions—that's what your knowledge of English will allow you to do.

1.4 Negative impact of the computer and the Internet.

The following are considered dangerous factors that arise when working at a monitor:

Deterioration of vision.

Electromagnetic radiation.

The appearance of dermatitis of varying complexity.

Negative impact of aeroionic air.

Development of scoliosis.

The emergence of psychological problems.

Let's try to figure this out. Computer use can cause vision loss         in children . In addition to all the positive benefits humanity has acquired and continues to acquire with the development of high-tech Internet technologies, the world is also faced with the negative side of this phenomenon – in particular, the rapid growth of computer         crimes, especially in the economic and financial sectors.

Due to its openness, the Internet offers attackers a wide range of opportunities. For example, it can be used to access confidential and sensitive information, copy it, modify it, or simply destroy it. Passwords, server addresses, and

etc., and log in to the network under a registered username. Such actions seriously damage the company's reputation, competitiveness, and customer trust.

Given the urgency of the problem, major IT companies are organizing dedicated teams of "ethical hackers." These teams, through legal intrusions into various companies' systems, analyze their security and provide recommendations for eliminating vulnerabilities.

The advent of the internet has given rise to a new, yet under-researched, serious problem: the use of the internet as a tool for informational and psychological influence on human society. A new information environment has emerged, in which information is transmitted, stored, and copied almost instantly. This environment is changing the meaning and value of centuries-old foundations and concepts, transforming moral norms.

Likewise, the use of the World Wide Web by political organizations has long ceased to surprise ordinary people or outrage internet purists. But while official authorities use the internet to transmit and present official information, those seeking power ( especially those persecuted and in hiding) use the internet for more than just exchanging correspondence.

Another problem is the dissemination of information related to terrorism, espionage, drugs, weapons, pornography, or simply low-quality goods. It should be noted that solving this problem will be very difficult for our country due to the specifics of its internal

2.1 Internet resources for learning English:

3. Dualingo is one of the most popular services for learning foreign languages ​​from scratch. The program is structured as an "achievement tree": to advance to a new level, you first need to reach A certain number of points are awarded for correct answers. There are apps for iOS and Android .
4. Shmoop.co m offers translations of hundreds of thousands of pages of original materials. Their online courses, test preparation, various study guides, and interactive learning programs, created by teachers and experts, harmoniously combine an accessible, straightforward style of presentation with serious academic concepts.
5. EWA is a personal English tutor on your phone . Read books in the original language with just one click, take conversation courses with characters from your favorite TV series, and choose and memorize words from over 40,000 flashcards.
6. WordFormation for FCE is an application with basic word formation rules, groups of cognate words and lots and lots of exercises.
7. Situational English  This website offers English learning through situations. It contains approximately 150 articles that offer context-specific expressions and responses. The materials are available in Russian.
8. LanguaLeo A convenient and effective service that builds the entire English learning process around Leo the Lion in a playful way. The service offers a wide range of training activities and helps you learn the language in an easy and accessible way. It features lectures , music videos, popular shows, as well as songs, podcasts, and articles.
9. Learning BBC English - It's not often you find English learning websites that serve multiple purposes at once. This resource from the British corporation BBC is valuable primarily because it serves not only educational but also educational and entertaining functions. It features audio and video lessons , quizzes, animated videos, and simply colorful materials like "Office Clerks' Lexicon" or "Why Chewing Gum Is Banned in Singapore."
10. Ororo.t v — a service for learning English while watching movies and popular TV series. The video player has a built-in translator, allowing you to select Russian.

TED talks offer an opportunity to learn in a way that schools and universities won't soon teach us: engaging, concise, and practical.

2.2. Intelligent Assistant Bot

To help those who are more lost in the internet, I created a real assistant that is automatically ready to help you learn English 24/7.

2.3 Results of the survey of students of MBOU Secondary School No. 96

A questionnaire is a type of research method in psychology and pedagogy that allows, based on the analysis of written responses to proposed questions, to identify the points of view and trends that exist in a group of respondents.

In my work, I decided to explore the role of computer technology in foreign language learning. To this end, I conducted a survey consisting of six questions ( Appendix 1).

Having analyzed the survey results, we came to the following conclusions:

• For 62% of students, a computer is a source of information;
• 73% prefer computer gaming programs;
• 46% believe that using computers makes learning a foreign language interesting;
• 56% of students believe that using computers can enrich their vocabulary;
• 57% of students believe that using computers when learning a foreign language contributes to better grammar acquisition; 50% of students use the Internet when learning a foreign language; 92% use the Internet to search for reports for foreign language lessons. 

As the survey results showed, among the students there are children who can not only masterfully play various computer games, but also have skills in working with various computer programs, communicate on the Internet, and create computer presentations for lessons and events.

CONCLUSION

         The study found that using computer technology is not only a source of pleasure but also, first and foremost , a way to obtain information. Many are skilled in using various computer programs, create computer presentations, and communicate online.

We have compiled an analysis of educational websites. By teaching authentic language, the Internet helps develop conversational skills and abilities, as well as vocabulary and grammar, ensuring genuine engagement and, therefore, effectiveness. Moreover, the Internet develops skills that are important not only for foreign language acquisition. This is primarily related to mental processes: analysis, synthesis, abstraction, comparison, juxtaposition, verbal and semantic prediction, etc. Thus, the skills and abilities developed through Internet technologies extend beyond foreign language competence, even within the "language" aspect. The Internet develops students' social and psychological qualities: their self-confidence and their ability to work in a team; it creates a favorable learning environment, acting as a means of an interactive approach.

The hypothesis is valid and appropriate: “If the Internet has a positive effect on the student learning process, then it can be integrated into the curriculum, which will ultimately speed up the learning process,” but it will in no way replace live communication between a teacher and a student.

In our age of high technology, computers play a huge role in learning English, offering exciting and useful new ways to gain knowledge. Therefore, we concluded that the internet can truly help and accelerate the process of learning a foreign language.
