Урок английского языка в 6-м классе "Путешествие в Англию"

Цели урока:

1. Контроль полученных знаний по теме в ситуациях реального общения.

2. Проверка умений делать телефонные звонки и этикет общения по телефону.

3. Активизация употребления местоимений some any cназваниями продуктов в упражнениях.

Ход урока

1. Оргмомент. T. Hello, my dears! I am glad to see you. How are you? Today at the lesson we are revising all we know about England. That is the words and phrases, questions and answers, conversations and dialogs. We will also guess the crossword and do other tasks.

2. Речевая зарядка. T.Who wants to be a teacher today?

Р1(Pupil) Let me introduce myself. I am your English teacher today. My name is…What is your name? Where are you from? Where do you live? What class are you in? Are you good at school? What is your address?

T. (Teacher) There are a lot of guests in our classroom today. We can interview them. Who wants to be a reporter? P2. I am a reporter. My name is.. What is your name?...

T. We are going to travel to England and looking for treasure, that’s why we will remember about England. Who wants to tell us about England? (P3retell about England.)

The United Kingdom.

The UK is situated on two large islands called the British Isles. It consists of England , Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. The capital of England is London. The biggest river is the Thames. There are a lot of famous streets and parks in London: Eccleston. Street, Knightsbridge, Brompton Road, St James’s park, Trafalgar Square. There are many museums and theaters there: the Tower of London, Westminster Abbey, the Globe, the Natural History Museum. The most famous universities are Cambridge University and Oxford University. The climate of Great Britain is mild. It often rains in England.

T.We have a lot of pen-friends in England. Who has a pen-friend in London?

P4, please tell us about your friend.

My friend.

I have a lot of friends. My best pen-friend is Mark. He lives in London. He is 12. My friend is in the 7th form. He studies well and likes to study at school. He is a good pupil. His hobby is doing sports. Mark is best football player. My friend’s favourite subject is Russian. He spends a lot of time learning it. My friend likes music. He plays the gitar well. I like my friend very much. I think he is my best friend.

T. Who else has a pen-friend in London?

P5 has a pen-friend in London and will phone him.

On the phone.

- Hello! This is Sasha. Can I speak to Mark?

- Speaking! Oh, Sasha. I am so happy to hear from you. How are you?

- I am nice, thank you. And what about you?

-I am fine, thank you. When are you going to come to London?

- We will come there in 2 days with our class.

- That’ s great! See you soon. Bye!

- Bye!

T.Let’ s do a crossword. If we work it out and read 2 words from top to bottom, we will see where the treasure is.

4.The name of the queen of Britain.

5.The symbol of England.

6.The country that consists of England, Scotland, Wales

7.One of the colours of the flag of Britain.

11. The biggest river in Britain. (Tower Bridge).

T. Now we see, that the treasure is in London under the Tower Bridge, beneath the waters of the Thames. Let’ s make a short trip to London and find the treasure.

At the Customs.

We are going abroad and of corse we must fill in application forms Please, write down your name, surname, age, nationality and home address. Then take the application forms to the customs.

1T .We are in London at last .The first station is London Zoo .It is one of the biggest zoos in the world. Unfortunately they have had an accident here today. Some animals have got out of their cages.

Please, help the gards of the zoo. First describe the distinctive marks of each animal and then put them in their own cages.

P6.It is big. It is strong. It is yellow and white. It has four legs. It can jump. It can run. It cannot fly. Its name is the tiger.

2.T. The second station is Lunch. It is time for lunch. Lunch is the second breakfast. The English usually have lunch at one o clock. It is their tradition. The nearest cafe is at Baker Street. We may have lunch there. Let’ s go to Baker Street by double-decker.

On the bus.

- Excuse me how much is it to Baker Street?

- It’ s one pound.

- Two tickets please.

- That’ s two pounds please.

- Here you are.

- Thank you.

- The tickets are expensive, aren’t t they?

T.We are in the cafe at last. Please read the menu and order dishes.

In the cafe.

- What would you like?

- Coffee, cake and an ice-cream.

- A glass of mineral water?

- No thank’s.

- Pudding?

- Yes, please.

- Have a nice meal.

- Thank you.

3. T.Now we have eaten and can move on. Let us go to the Tower of London. The Tower of London was a fortress, a royal palace and later a prison. It is a museum now. There are a lot of interesting collections there. They are guarded by ravens. The legend says that without the ravens the Tower will fall. They will not let you pass by if they don’t get acquainted with you. Please do this grammar exercise.

Fill in the gaps. Write some or any.

1.They have…milk. 2.My father does not read …books. 3.Do you have … questions? 4.We need …cheese and …potatoes.5. My sister does not have … friends. 6. I do not have … butter and … bred. 7. Let us buy … sweets. 8.He has …water in the jug. 9.Kate has … interesting books.

T.And now we are on the bank of the Thames near Tower Bridge. We may get our treasure. But it is locked and the key is in an English song. Let us sing some songs.
