«Где живут животные?»

Цель: закрепить умения спрашивать и говорить о месте проживания животных, о своем месте проживания, а также о своих чувствах (боишься или не боишься).

Задачи:

-развивать умение извлекать конкретную информацию из услышанного;

- формировать умения выбирать адекватные языковые и речевые средства для успешного решения коммуникативной задачи;

- формировать навыки сотрудничества в процессе учебной и игровой деятельности;

- воспитывать гуманное отношение к животным, сочувствие и взаимопомощь.

Оборудование: карточки со звуками, карточки с изображением животных и мест обитания, технологические карточки для работы в группах, алфавит, аудиоприложение.

Vocabulary (Words and phrases)

Сценарий урока(Lesson)

Organizing the beginning of the lesson

Welcome the students by saying “Hello! Hi! How are you?” (wave)

Let them answer: “Hello! I’m fine and how are you?”

Say: “I’m fine, thank you!”

На доске постепенно выставляются изображения лисы, зайца, кролика, коровы, тигра, леса, реки и озера.

- На какие группы можно разбить эти слова? (животные и их среда обитания).

- Установите соответствия между словами первой и второй группы.

- Как вы думаете, о чем мы будем говорить и спрашивать сегодня на уроке?

Мы будем упражняться говорить и спрашивать, где живут животные.

Итак, тема нашего урока «Where do the animals live?»

Activities

Let’s sing a song about animals!             Song “Let’s go to the zoo!”

Sing and mime!

Last hero

“What animals do you remember?”

Ask the children to make a circle.

Let the children pass the ball and name animals.

Ask the children to make a circle.

Let the children pass the ball and name animals.

If a child does not remember an animal, they sit in the middle of the circle.

The child who is the last to name an animal is the winner.

Animals and adjectives

Throw the ball to the children and say the adjectives, verbs and nouns that can be associated with different animals. The children have to make up the sentence about some animal using the word.

e.g.  run – Dogs can run.

        very big – Elephants are very big.

        Fish – Cats like fish.

Where do animals live?

 Ask the children whether they remember where different animals live.

1)  Draw a fence and sunflowers on the blackboard (or show the flashcard) and ask the children what animals live on a farm.

Encourage the children to repeat the full phrases all together:

Pigs live on a farm.

Cows live on a farm.

Sheep live on a farm.

Ducks live on a farm.

2) Draw a river on the blackboard (or show the flashcard) and ask the children what animals live in the river.

Encourage the children to repeat the full phrases all together:

Fish live in a river.

Frogs live in a river.

Crocodiles live in a river.

3) Draw clouds on the blackboard (or show the flashcard) and ask the children what animals live in the sky.

Encourage the children to repeat the full phrases all together:

Birds live in the sky.

Butterflies live in the sky.

4) Draw trees on the blackboard (or show the flashcard) and ask the children what animals live in the forest.

Encourage the children to repeat the full phrases all together:

Bears live in a forest.

Foxes live in a forest.

Wolves live in a forest.

Activity book - Lesson 47

Ask the children to draw two animals that live in a forest.

While the children are working, walk around and ask the questions about the animals they are drawing.

Ask the children to make a short presentation of their pictures. The children have to say:

e.g. This is a fox.

       It is big and red.

       Foxes can run.

       Foxes live in a forest.

Show the video “Adam’s dream”

Pause the video and ask the children to describe the habitat and the animals.

Where do animals live?

1) Draw the sea on the blackboard (or show the flashcard) and ask the children what animals live in the sea.

Encourage the children to repeat the full phrases all together:

Crabs live in the sea.

Jellyfish live in the sea.

Dolphins live in the sea.

2) Draw the ocean on the blackboard (or show the flashcard) and ask the children what animals live in the ocean.

Encourage the children to repeat the full phrases all together:

Sharks live in the ocean.

Whales live in the ocean.

Are you scared?

1) Ask the children to repeat Adam’s phrase “I am scared” and show the corresponding emotions on your face.

I am scared! I am scared! I am scared!

2) Show the flashcards of different animals and ask the children whether they are scared of those animals.

Are you scared of jellyfish?

Are you scared of bats?

Are you scared of dogs?

What animals are you scared of?

Practice

Put the flashcards face down on the table. Ask the children to take the cards and make positive and negative sentences.

I am scared of …….

I am not scared of …….

Miming game

Ask one of the children to come up to the blackboard.

Ask the other children to mime animals. The child standing near the blackboard has to guess the animal and say whether they are scared of it or not.

Where do you live?

Tell the children the country and the city where you live. Encourage the children to do the same.

The children have to say: "I live in ………".

“Let me introduce myself”

 Ask the children to introduce themselves in the following way:

The teacher takes the ball and says:

My name is ……

What is your name? 

The teacher gives the ball to one of the children. The child does the same and gives the ball to the next child.

When the ball comes back to the teacher, he/she says:

I am 30.

How old are you?

The teacher gives the ball to one of the children. The child does the same and gives the ball to the next child.

When the ball comes back to the teacher, he/she says:

Where do you live?

The teacher gives the ball to one of the children. The child does the same and gives the ball to the next child. Encourage the children to name their country and their cities. 

Bye-bye routine

Let’s say good-bye and sing a goodbye song.
