Конспект открытого урока по английскому языку по теме

«Welcome, Universiade 2013!» 

Цель урока: систематизировать и обобщить знания учащихся по теме «Спорт»

Задачи:

Образовательные:

1. обобщение лексического материала по теме “Спорт”;
2. обобщение грамматического материала;
3. развитие навыков говорения и  аудирования  по теме.

Развивающие:

1. развитие коммуникативных навыков по теме “Спорт”;
2. развитие памяти, внимания и мышления учащихся;
3. развитие умения обобщать и делать выводы.

Воспитательные:

1. воспитание здоровых привычек и культуры здорового образа жизни;
2. воспитание уважения к участникам спортивных соревнований.

Оборудование: компьютер, мультимедийный проектр, аудиозапись, магнитофон, раздаточный материал, учебник “Enjoy English 7”.

Ход урока.

1. Организационный момент.

- Good morning, dear pupils. I’m glad to see you, sit down please.

- How are you today?

2. Фонетическая зарядка (Warming up)

- Students, please, look at the blackboard. There is a poem for you. Now read it all together after me, please. Good job. Now read it one by one by one line, begin please. Great! So, let’s try to translate this poem.

Sport is fun for boys and girls.

It’s much better than the toys.

You can sledge, and ski, and skate,

And play snowballs with Kate.

3. Основная часть

-Students, we all know that the capital of Tatarstan is going to meet the Universiade in July 2013. I guess most of you have already booked tickets and now you are looking forward to these great sport events. I hope today’s lesson will help you to learn more about Universiade. But first of all let’s remember different sports we’ve spoken about earlier.

I. Тренировка лексических навыков по теме

- Students, please, guess the names of different kinds of sport.

1. It is a game played indoors between two teams of five players, in which each team tries to win points by throwing a ball into the basket. (Basketball).
2. It is the sport of moving yourself through water using your arms and legs. (Swimming).
3. There is a ball and each player has a stick. It is a team game played in winter. The winners have the most goals. (Hockey).
4. It is sort of swimming under water using special equipment to help you breather. (Diving).
5. It is a game for two people who stand opposite one another and hit a small soft ball backwards and forwards using rackets over the net. (Tennis).
6. It is the activity of running slowly and steadily as a way of exercising. (Jogging).
7. You need a board and a sail. You can do this in the sea. You stand on the board and pull the sail with your arms. (Windsurfing).
8. It is a game in which the players hit a small white ball with a club into holes in the ground. (Golf).
9. It is an outdoor game played by two teams with an oval egg-shaped ball that you kick or carry. (Rugby).
10. It is a game played by two teams of eleven players who try to kick a ball into the other team’s gate. (Football).

II. Развитие навыков устной речи

- Have you recognized this nice creature from the pictures? What is it? Is it somehow connected with Universiade?

-Yes, right you are. It’s Uni, the mascot of Kazan Universiade, the kitten of winged snow leopard. The snow leopard or panther is a mammal of the cat family, living in the mountains of central Asia. The snow leopard is included in the Red Book.

- Let me see if you know much about Universiade? Answer the questions and match the pictures:

T: Owing to the Universiade new objects have appeared in the centre of Russia meeting all the world standards and ready to host any world or European championships. Kazan is a real Russian centre of summer sport. The next task is to make up short dialogues and make small presentations of these objects to each other.

1. Universiade program includes numerous water sports competitions. For this purpose the Aquatic sports Palace was constructed.
2. It is the first in Russia Rowing centre for 1.500 seats for the competitions on boat racing and canoeing.
3. It is a Football Stadium. It will enable to hold competitions of the highest world level and correspond to FIFA “5 star” International Federation of Football.
4. The Central Stadium for track and field competitions.
5. The AK Bars Wrestling Palace for competitions on all kinds of wrestling.
6. Basket Hall and Tatneft Arena for holding competitions on basketball and volleyball.
7. Academy of tennis which includes 4 covered and 14 open tennis courts.
8. Centre of gymnastics for rhythmic and artistic gymnastics competitions.
9. Centre of Field Hockey. Competitions on beach football and volleyball are planned to be held there.
