Урок по английскому языку в 7 классе.

Тема: «Организация самостоятельной работы учащихся на уроке на основе технологии «Критическое мышление».

Цель: Организовать самостоятельную работу учащихся на уроке.

Задачи урока:

1. Развивающаяся: продолжить развитие умений и навыков самостоятельной работы учащихся при чтении текста.
2. Обучающая: формировать умение логически мыслить, выделять главное.
3. Воспитывать интерес  к личности и анализировать его жизненную позицию.

Тип урока: 1. Это урок-поиск.

                    2. Организация самостоятельной работы на уроке английского языка.

Основные методы:

1. Метод самоуправления учебной деятельностью.
2. Метод контроля и самоконтроля.

Оборудование и оснащение урока:  демонстративная иллюстрация, словари, карточки с текстом, ИКТ проектор, экран, проектор, фильм.

Ход урока.

1. Организационный момент.

       а) Вступительное слово учителя, постановка цели и задач урока.

   T. – Good morning my dear friends. I am  glad to see you. How are you?

   P1 – I am fine, thanks. And how are you?

   T. – I am fine too. Thanks you.

   You have read many texts connecting with journey, voyages and traveling. Do you remember such texts as «The Discovery of America», «Columbus Voyages», the dialogue «On the Airplane», «In Kennedy airport in New York», «at Customs» You”ve translated the text «A Trip to England», «In the Airport».

   Answer my questions:

1. Do you like traveling?
2. What  great travelers do you know?

(Columbus, Drake, Ferdinand, Magellan, Robinson Crusoe, F. Konjukhov, Amerigo Vispucci)

All these travelers are remarkable and famous.

 The theme of our lesson is Christopher Columbus  as  a famous traveler and discoverer.

 The aim is to learn much information about this man, why Columbus Day is existed in America.

We”ll begin our lesson with the poem: «Let’s remember Columbus»

Columbus soiled the ocean blue…

Let’s sing together this old song.

About the voyage that took him long.

About the sailors those strong, brave men.

Let’s sing and remember them all again.

You are going to work in small groups.

I wish you good luck

1) The task is to write down essay about Christopher Columbus.

What facts do you know about him?

Write, please.

2) The discussion in pairs.

3) The discussion in groups.

4) One of the pupils from each group reads essay.

So you told us some facts about  Columbus. You noticed that he had discovered “A new Land”. Now let’s watch some fragments of the film. You’ll see nature of this unknown country.

1. Before reading the text “Columbus Day I’ll introduce you with new words.

 They are:

to declare-объявлять, провозглашать

a weaver-ткач

exiting experience-волнующие испытания

in common- в общем (иметь много общего)

inhabitants-жители

a vessel-судно

a mutiny- мятеж

to earn one’s living-зарабатывать на жизнь

skin-кожа

2. After introducing the words pupils read the unknown texts.

While reading the text  they put  down+if the facts are known for them, they put down- if they don’t know and put  down>if it is  interesting to know.

3. After  the discussion the pupils make up clusters about Christopher Columbus in small groups. The task is to write down what kind of man Christopher Columbus was:

5.The pupils discuss their clusters and show them to each other.

6.Physucal minute.

We are sailing on the ship ‘The May Flower’ The weather is changeable. Look! With the help of fingers the pupils demonstrate

      It is going to rain,

      It is dropping,

      It is raining heavily,

      It is storming!

7.Your task is to write a letter to this great discoverer Christopher Columbus.

8. The pupils discuss their letters in pairs, in groups.

9. One pupil from the group reads the best letter.

10. In conclusion the pupils sing a song

      Once there lived the captain brave

      And he crossed the ocean wave,

      And he called on many seas on his way

      Fifteen times he tried to sink.

      Sharks could catch him on the brink

      But he never really never gives a wink

                    Refrain

      Captain brave, captain brave, give a smile sir,

      For the smiling is a flag of a ship

      Captain brave, captain brave, give a smile sir,

      For we never really never leave the sea

 11.You’ll see some fragments from the film

       And answer the questions:

   1.Was it right to declare a federal public holiday?

    2.When is Columbus Day celebrated today?

       It will be your hometask .
