    Приветствие. Определение задач урока.

• Hello, boys and girls! Sit down please! I am your teacher on this lesson. My name is Alla Pavlovna.
• We begin our lesson! What’s the date today?

• We continue our topic “The Romans”
•  We’ll make dialogue,  do some exercises and speak about London.
• Is it exciting/interesting? Are you ready?
• Good! Let’s start the work!

• 2. Подготовка к работе артикуляционного аппарата учащихся

1. Фонетическая зарядка.

• Let’s do some phonetic drills. Repeat after me.

• She sells sea shells on a sea shore.

2. Лексическая разминка - повторение слов, изученных на предыдущих уроках.

- Let’s repeat our words from lessons 26. I will give you words in Russian, you’ll give me English equivalents:

Country (страна), England (Англия), city (город), London (Лондон ), town (городок), bridge (мост), building (здание, строение), century (век), square (площадь), church (церковь),  theatre (театр), dirty (грязный), rich (богатый), dark (тёмный), beautiful (красивый), important (важный).

Работа с текстом:

1. Let’s open our books to do some exercise; on 158 page you can see the text “The Romans”. I reed you the beginning of the sentence, and you must find the end. Do you understand me?

•  In Roman Times Londinium was…
•  The Romans built a lot of roads…
• The old London Bridge looked…
• The name was the town…
• The Romans went to England…

2. And look at the blackboard, I’ll write the word THE ROMANS and you will make the diagram with main words to this theme.

- Let's play the game "true, false or don’t know". Listen to my sentences, please. Agree or disagree with the statements.

• There are a lot of bridges over the Thames now. +

• The Romans came to England in the nineteenth century. -
• Londinium was a very beautiful town in old times. don’t know
• The Romans built few roads in England .-

While discussing our topic, we have read several texts about London and know something about it, haven’t we? Let’s look through some pages of our lessons and try to solve this simple crossword:

1. The official symbol of this country is Red rose. England

2. What is the capital of England? London

3. This person is the main in England. It is the Head of State.Queen

4. Who went to England many, many years ago? Romans

5. What river is  situated in the historical center of London? Thames

Раздаю диалоги it’s your examples for dialogs.

Выполнение упражнений в учебнике, направленных на усвоение  грамматического материала. 

III. (УСТНО работа в парах) Ask your friends if they have ever been to Moscow and how they travelled there. Use the example and   names of the places of Moscow that you can see at the pictures:

EXAMPLE: -Have you ever been to Moscow? How did you travel there?  

What have you visited there?

- Yes, I have been to Moscow and I liked it.      

  I traveled there by plane. I have visited RED SQUARE

 -No, I haven’t been to Moscow but I want   to go there by train.

(выдаются заранее приготовленные карточки с названием достопримечательностей Лондона на пару учащихся. Moscow: the Kremlin,  RED SQUARE, the Zoo, the Bolshoi Theatre, the largest church in Moscow)

Travel by: plane, bus, train, taxi, sea.

-Today We have continued the topic about London - because it is very important for us to know a lot of information about this city.

-Good. Thank you for the lesson. Your home task will be easy. You should  complete the exercise .14.  Don’t forget to write new words  into your dictionaries.
