Разработка урока расчитана на учащихся 9-х классов. В процессе урока учащиеся вырабатывают навык говорения по данной теме, используя опорные фразы. К уроку прилагается красочная презентация.

Цели:

Образовательная: формирование навыков говорения и аудирования, умения высказываться по заданной теме с помощью опоры;

Развивающая: развивать логическое мышление, умения и навыки

монологической речи;

Воспитательная: уважительное отношение к реалиям другой страны, воспитание толерантности.

Ход урока.

Слайд 1. Good morning boys and girls! I am glad to see you again.

Let’s start our lesson. Our topic today is advertisements: good and bad points.

I think that it is very interesting. I hope our lesson will help you to improve your English and will help in your future occupation and everyday life.

There are many ways of exploring the world. And we can’t imagine our life without mass media.

Слайд 2. What way of getting information about the world  do you know?

-reading newspapers or magazines;

-using the Internet;

-listening to the radio;

-travelling;

- watching television;

What do you think is the best way of getting information about the world? Why?

As for me I cannot say which way of getting information is the best. Sometimes it is necessary to travel to get more information. I think that books continue to be the best and the most traditional way of getting information. And I want to mention about the Internet. Of course the Internet is marvelous and useful but there are some advantages and disadvantages  too.

Read them and think of what they are about.

“Advertisement is the mover of the trade” folk wisdom

“Advertising is the tool of the seller that helps him to affect you and make buy his goods”.

“Any advertisement won’t help to sell the thing that is impossible to sell”

What are reasons and aims to earn money? (Учащиеся высказывают предположения:

- to live;

-to buy different things;

- to educate;

- to travel…

- Among the reasons and aims you called “to buy different things”.  Sometimes we buy something because we listen to the advertisements or some people recommend  to buy it.

Слайд 6. I want to divide you into two groups. The first group will protect ads. The second group is the opponents; your tasks to give bad points of the advertisement, your tasks to give good points.

Young people all over the world have grown up with advertisements. Advertisements can influence young consumers’ choice greatly.

What is your opinion?

I think that average citizen is usually annoyed by all the advertisements printed in newspapers and magazines and the commercials broadcast on TV  but it plays a very important role in our lives.

First of all, let’s try to understand.

The first function is to inform. A lot of information people have from the advertisements they read.

The second function is to sell. Only being naïve people cannot evaluate objectively what is truthful and what is exaggerated.

Thirdly, since the majority of advertisements are printed in our press we pay less for newspapers and magazines.
