    Урок английского языка в 4 классе по теме «Открытие Америки».

    Цель урока: обучение чтению как виду речевой деятельности с извлечением детальной информации;

    Задачи: 1. Образовательные.

    а) совершенствовать навыки коммуникативной деятельности учащихся;

    б) активизировать употребление изученной лексики по теме «Открытие Америки»  в речи учащихся;

     в) отработка интонационных навыков;

    2. Развивающие.

    а) развивать навык фонетического слуха;

     б) развивать умение учащихся осуществлять монологические высказывания;

     в) развивать речевую реакцию;

     г) развивать аудитивные навыки;

    3. Воспитательные.

    а) воспитывать у учащихся интерес к изучению иностранного языка;

     б) расширять кругозор учащихся;

     в) воспитывать чувство ответственности.

    УУД:

    - работать с книгой, пользуясь необходимыми справочными материалами (словарь, грамматический справочник и т.п.);

    - сопоставлять звуки родного и английского языка, осознавать различия звуков в двух языках;

    - осуществлять самоконтроль, самооценку;

    - свободная ориентация и восприятие речи на слух;

    - слушать и понимать речь учителя, овладеть диалогической формой речи.

    T: - Look at the screen. This is the Central America. This is North America. This is South America. The United States of America=the USA=the States.

    T: - You see the date on the board. Do you know what this date means? Why does it play a very important role in an American history?

    America is the name of two continents – North America and South America. North and South America form the part of the world called America.

    Christopher Columbus discovered America in 1492.

    He was born in Italy in 1451 but lived in Spain.

    When he was 25 years old, on his first voyage in the Atlantic Ocean, his ship was attacked by pirates.

    Columbus stayed in Portugal for about 10 years. The Portuguese were trying to reach the Far East-India and China to trade.

    Columbus thought that a ship could reach the east by sailing west.

    In 1485, after the king of Portugal refused to give money for Columbus’s expedition, he travelled to Spain to ask King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella for ships and sailors.

    Columbus had to wait for 7 years.

    Finally, the King and the Queen of Spain gave Columbus money to go to India.

    In August of 1492, Columbus set sail from Spain with three ships: the Nica, the Pinta and the Santa Maria and 90 men.

    The largest of these, The Santa Maria, was commanded by Columbus.

    Weeks went by, and the sailors became frightened.

    On October 10 Columbus and his crew agreed to sail on for 3 more days and then turn around if no land was seen.

    After sailing 4000 miles he reached some land.

    It was an island.

    Columbus called it San Salvador.

    Columbus and some of his men came ashore in small boats.

    It was a new land – a new continent.

    They placed a Spanish flag in the ground and declared the island a Spanish territory.

    It was America – Central America – «The New World».

    They were greeted by friendly people who wore no clothes.

    Columbus thought he had landed on an island in the Indies so he called these natives Indians.

    After his first voyage, Columbus was titled «Don» and he had the right to sit in the presence of the king and the queen.

    America is the name of two continents – North America and South America. North and South America form the part of the world called America.

    Christopher Columbus discovered America in 1492.

    He was born in Italy in 1451 but lived in Spain.

    When he was 25 years old, on his first voyage in the Atlantic Ocean, his ship was attacked by pirates.

    Columbus stayed in Portugal for about 10 years. The Portuguese were trying to reach the Far East-India and China to trade.

    Columbus thought that a ship could reach the east by sailing west.

    In 1485, after the king of Portugal refused to give money for Columbus’s expedition, he travelled to Spain to ask King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella for ships and sailors.

    Columbus had to wait for 7 years.

    Finally, the King and the Queen of Spain gave Columbus money to go to India.

    In August of 1492, Columbus set sail from Spain with three ships: the Nica, the Pinta and the Santa Maria and 90 men.

    The largest of these, The Santa Maria, was commanded by Columbus.

    Weeks went by, and the sailors became frightened.

    On October 10 Columbus and his crew agreed to sail on for 3 more days and then turn around if no land was seen.

    After sailing 4000 miles he reached some land.

    It was an island.

    Columbus called it San Salvador.

    Columbus and some of his men came ashore in small boats.

    It was a new land – a new continent.

    They placed a Spanish flag in the ground and declared the island a Spanish territory.

    It was America – Central America – «The New World».

    They were greeted by friendly people who wore no clothes.

    Columbus thought he had landed on an island in the Indies so he called these natives Indians.

    After his first voyage, Columbus was titled «Don» and he had the right to sit in the presence of the king and the queen.

     в) отработка интонационных навыков;
