Описание

     Приведённый ниже методический материал может быть использован на уроке английского языка для проведения как классного, так и внеклассного мероприятия в 6-7 классах.

     В 6 классе данный материал можно использовать при изучении Модуля 5, урока Extensive Reading/Literature.

     В 7 классе материал будет полезен при изучении Модуля 2, Tale Time.

     Мероприятие рассчитано на 4 урока.

Lesson 1

I. Good afternoon, students! Today are starting a series of unusual lessons. We are going to make a project – the project about a famous writer and his book.

Slide 1 Please, look at the photo of the book. What is its name?  

Click 1 (Alice’s adventures in Wonderland)

Who is the author of the book?   - Click 2 - 3    (Lewis Carroll)

And do you know the names of the main characters? Let’s name them.

(Who is he/she? – Clicks 4 – 7  Alice, the Hatter, the March Hare, Dormouse, Cheshire Cat )

II. So, we are going to make a project.

Цель проекта: ближе познакомиться с жизнью и творчеством английского писателя.

Результатом проекта будет постановка/сценка, с которой вы выступите перед второй группой.

Чтобы достичь цели и результата, нам необходимо пройти следующие задачи:

1) кратко изучить биографию Льюиса Кэрролла и историю написания книги;

2) познакомиться с содержанием и сценарием главы 7 – A Mad Tea Party;

3) распределить роли и задачи;

4) выучить и отрепетировать сценку;

5) представить сценку своим одноклассникам.

III. Итак, наша первая задача – познакомиться с биографией Льюиса Кэрролла и историей создания книги «Алиса в стране чудес».

Lewis Carroll

     The English author Lewis Carroll wrote the children’s classics Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass. These books are beloved for their unusual settings, lively characters, and clever wordplay. His real name was Charles Lutwidge Dodgson.

Carroll was born in Daresbury, England, on January 27, 1832. He was the 3rd child and had 3 brothers and 7 sisters. Even as a child he was talented and enjoyed entertaining his brothers and sisters with stories and games.

    He studied mathematics at Oxford University in England. For most of his life he lived in Oxford while teaching mathematics. He wrote books on mathematics and logic.

     Dodgson was much more than only a mathematician; he was a photographer, writer of books, poet and inventor. He was very interested in new inventions and invented many things himself, for example a tool for writing in the dark. He was fond of theatre and opera.

    Dodgson loved to spend time with children. One day in 1862 he rowed up the Thames River with three young girls. Throughout the day he told the girls tales about a child named Alice. Later he used the tales to write Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. It was published as a book in 1865. In the story Alice crawls into a rabbit hole and meets all sorts of interesting creatures. Another book about Alice, Through the Looking-Glass, appeared in 1871. Dodgson wrote the books under the name Lewis Carroll. They were very popular.

He died in Guildford, England, on January 14, 1898.

Lesson 2

Read the script and distribute the roles. Role play.

Декораторы : 1) нарисовать декорации – дерево (вместо яблок блюдца, чашки),

                            афишу;

                        2) реквизиты – часы, шляпа, улыбка кота на палочке, таблички с

                            именами героев.

Д/З – актёры и ведущие учат слова, декораторы готовят реквизит.

Lesson 3

Заучивание и репетиция.

В перерыве посмотреть отрывок мультика/фильма.

Продолжить репетировать.

Выполнение заданий – кроссворд, Who said it?, заполни пропуски.  

Д/З – всё выучить и подготовить.

Lesson 4

1) Контрольная репетиция.

2) Выступление перед второй группой.

2) Рефлексия. Заполняют анкеты.

Act 1

Host of the event 1: Dear classmates, good afternoon and welcome to our play! We’d like to show you a short episode from the book Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll. ____(name), what do you know about Lewis Carroll and his book?

Host of the event 2: Lewis Carroll was an English writer who wrote the children’s books. From his childhood he enjoyed telling funny stories to his sisters and brothers.

     When he grew up Carroll taught Maths at Oxford University. He also liked photography and inventing new things. In his book Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland a little girl Alice crawls into a rabbit hole and meets interesting creatures. The book is very popular all over the world.

Host of the event 1: Let’s introduce these interesting characters.

Host of the event 3: Comes to the Cheshire Cat and tells about it.

The Cheshire Cat always smiles and can play with words. Its body parts can disappear.

 Host of the event 4: The Hatter makes hats. He isn’t very polite and clever.

 Host of the event 5: The March Hare is quite strange. He is always in a hurry.

Host of the event 6: Dormouse always sleeps and speaks little.

Act 2

Host of the event 1: Scene 1 where Alice finds herself at a Mad Tea Party.

Scene 1

     There was a table set out under a tree in front of the house, and the March Hare and the Hatter were having tea at it: a Dormouse was sitting between them, fast asleep, and the other two were using it as a cushion, resting their elbows on it, and talking over its head. Cheshire Cat was looking at them and smiling. The table was a large one, but the four were all crowded together at one corner of it.

Scene 2

Alice comes to them, then comes to Dormouse and says:

- "Very uncomfortable for the Dormouse. But it doesn't mind because it's sleeping."

Scene 3

The Hatter and the March Hare saw Alice and cried: "No room! No room!"

Alice sat down in a large arm chair at one end of the table and said: "There's plenty of room!"

The March Hare said: "It wasn't very civil of you to sit down without being invited".

Alice: "I didn't know it was your table. Many more than three can sit here."

Scene 4

The Hatter comes to Alice, looks at Alice’s hair and says: "Your hair wants cutting."  

Alice: "You should learn not to make personal remarks, it's very rude.”

The Hatter opened his eyes very wide on hearing this and wanted to say something, but

the Cheshire Cat said: "Why is a raven like a writing-desk?"

 Alice claps her hands and says: "I'm glad you've begun asking riddles. I believe I can guess that”.

The March Hare said: "Do you mean that you can find out the answer to it?"

Alice said: "Exactly so".

   Scene 4

Интерактив со зрителями.

Host of the event 3: Чеширский Кот загадал Алисе загадку – Почему ворон похож на письменный стол? Прежде чем наши герои продолжат, хотелось бы услышать ваши варианты отгадки. (Спросить 2 – 4 человека.)

Scene 5

The Cheshire Cat comes to Alice and asks: "Have you guessed the riddle yet?"

 Alice replied: "No, I give it up, what's the answer?"

The Cheshire Cat: "I haven't the slightest idea."

The March Hare:  "Nor I.”

The Hatter pushed Dormouse and asks: “And you?”

Dormouse says: “Nor I.”

Alice sighed and said: "I think you shouldn’t ask the riddles that have no answers."

Scene 5

Every one drinks tea but Alice hasn’t got a cup.

The Hatter said to Alice: “Take some more tea.”

Alice replied in an offended tone: “I’ve had nothing yet, so I can’t take more.”

Dormouse said: “You mean you can’t take less, it’s very easy to take more than nothing.”

Scene 6

The March Hare takes his watch out of his pocket, shakes it, holds it to his ear and looking at it says:

“Two days wrong!” 

Then the March Hare dipped his watch into his cup of tea and looked at it again.

Alice stands up and says: "It's the stupidest tea-party I ever was at in all my life! I'll never go there again!"

Alice goes away and the others change their seats.

Act 3

Host of the event 4:

The end! Thanks for your attention!
