Have you seen these masterpieces?
Задачи: 1) познакомить учащихся с достопримечательностями Нью –Йорка
и городов Золотого Кольца;
2) формировать понимание значимости памятников родной
культуры;
3) совершенствование грамматических навыков говорения (Present
Perfect, Past Simple);
4) развитие умения читать с детальным пониманием текста;
5) развитие умения аудировать с детальным пониманием ;
6) развитие умения говорения.
Оснащение урока: презентации по теме «Нью – Йорк», «Города России»; карточки с грамматическими упражнениями; фотографии с достопримечательностями разных городов; фотографии британских детей; аудиоприложение к учебнику
Ход урока
- Орг. момент.
T: Good afternoon, dear children. I’m glad to see you. How are you?
Ch: I’m fine, thank you. And you?
T: I’m fine, thanks.

T: Are you ready for our work? Look at the blackboard. Let’s revise some words and sounds.

- Определение цели урока.
T: Look at the screen. We have some pictures with famous places (Big Ben, Trafalgar Square, Lover, and Red Square).
(Учитель показывает по одной фотографии с известными достопримечательностями и задает вопрос: “ Can we call this place as a masterpiece?”)
Ch: Yes, we can. We can call the Red Square as a masterpiece.
T: And what do you think we are going to speak about?
Ch: We are going to speak about famous and interesting places in the world.
T: Yes, you’re right. The theme of our lesson is called: “Have you seen
these masterpieces?” We are going to speak about masterpieces in
the world exactly in New-York and in Russian cities and towns of Golden Ring.
And what do you think are there any masterpieces in our town, Belgorod?
Ch: Yes, we have. We have The Diorama Museum. We can call it as a masterpiece.
Ch: We can call Belgorod State Museum of Fine Arts as a masterpiece
Ch: We can call , Drama Theatre as a masterpiece.

T: Your home task was to make a report about Belgorod and Moscow. Let’s listen to some reports and ask some questions.

T: Open your text books on page 209 ex.1 Look at the picture. Do you know what is it? It’s a masterpiece of New York. Also you can see another masterpiece in New York. Let’s listen and read the text, and be ready to answer the questions.
T: What sights of New York impressed Robin and Rick?
Ch: Robin and Rick were impressed by Chinatown, the Statue of Liberty and the Fifth Avenue.
T: Right you are. And do you know anything about these sights?
Ch: No.
T: Ok. Try to find the information about 3 masterpieces of New- York in your tasks. Match the columns.
1. It is one of the most famous symbols of the USA. France gave the statue to America in 1884 as a symbol of friendship. It is in New York on Liberty Island. It is one of the first things people see when they arrive in New York by sea.
2. It is one of the greatest English churches is not far from the Tower of London. It is a beautiful building with many columns and towers. In one of its towers there is one of the largest bells in the world.
3. It is a part of a town or a city, outside China and especially in Britain and USA, where Chinese people live.
4. It is a central street in New York. It's famous for beautiful buildings, skyscrapers and rich shops. Rich and famous people live there.
5.It is a museum in St .Petersburg. It is the largest art museum in Russia and is famous throughout the world.
T: Ok. Thanks for your work. And now let’s learn more about these masterpieces. Let’s look at the screen. (учащиеся смотрят презентацию о достопримечательностях Америки)
T: What places of New York would you like to visit?
Ch: I would like to visit China town. I think it is very interesting place in New York.
Ch: Also I would like to visit China town, because I like Chinese food.
Ch: I would like to visit the main street in New York, because I want to see some famous people.

T: Thanks for your attention. What have you learnt about the sights?
Ch: I’ve leant that Chinatown is a part of city, where Chinese live.
I’ve seen the main street in New York.
I have learnt that The Statue of Liberty is in New York on Liberty Island.
T: What tense form we use in these sentences?
Ch: Present Perfect.
T: When do we use Present Perfect?
Ch: учащиеся рассказывают образование и использование Present Perfect Tense.

T: Do you know these cities? These cities are situated in a popular tourist route which is cold “The Golden Ring of Russia”.
What do you know about this route?
Ch: It includes the ancient Russian cities.
T: Yes, you are right. Let’s look at the screen. (презентация о «Золотом кольце»)

T: You know that a lot of people like travelling. Here is Helen (показать на фото). She also likes travelling. And her favourite country is Russia. She was in Russia two years ago. She visited Troitse- Sergiyev Posad and Pereslavl- Zalessky. And at this month she has visited Rostov the Great and Yaroslavl. Let’s say what did Helen do during her first visit to the Golden Ring?
First of all let's read these interesting places.
What did she do 2 years ago in these cities?
Ch: She visited the unique museum of ancient paintings and folk art.
She heard folk songs.
She bought unique wooden sculptures.
T: Find in your answers the verb. In what tense we use this verb?
Is it regular or irregular verb? Name 3 forms of this verb, please.
T: What has she already done?
Ch: She has already visited The Rostov Kremlin.
She has been at the museum of Russian icons.
She has tasted Russian cakes.
T: Thanks. Have you ever been in these cities and towns?
Ch: No. I have never been in these cities.
T: What city would you like to visit and why?
Ch: I would like to visit Yaroslavl because I have never visited the museum of Valentina Tereshkova.
Ch: I would like to visit Troitse- Sergiev Posad because I want to see the magnificent cathedral in the Lavra.
Ch: I would like to visit Pereslavl- Zallesky, because I want to hear the music of the bells.
T: What have you learnt about “The Golden Ring of Russia”?
