“My Favourite English Poem”

ХОД МЕРОПРИЯТИЯ

Звучат фанфары. На сцену выходят ведущие.

Ведущий 1( Тёма): Good afternoon, dear boys and girls, dear ladies and gentlemen! You are welcome to our Phonetic Competition!

– I love learning English,
I can read,
I can write,
I can speak English, too.
I love learning rhymes!
And what about you, Настя?

Ведущий 2 (Настя): I also like learning English rhymes! Тёма, I’ve got a question to you.

Ведущий 1: What is it?

Ведущий 2: What are boys made of?

Ведущий 1:

What are boys made of?
Frogs and snails and puppy dogs’ tails,
And that’s what boys are made of!
And what about girls? What are girls made of?

Ведущий 2:

Sugar and spice and all things nice,
And that’s what girls are made of!

Ведущий 1: Настя, I think we can recite poems, but what about our boys and girls? I’m looking forward to the beginning of our competition!

Ведущий 2: Are you? Then let’s start!

Звучат фанфары.

Ведущий 1: Now let us introduce our judges!

Идет представление членов жюри (в состав жюри входят учителя английского языка и ученики старших классов).

Ведущий 2: Тёма, can you count?

Ведущий 1: Oh, yes I can!

Ведущий 2: How many legs have you got?

Ведущий 1: I’ve got one, two, three…

Ведущий 2: Тёма! Our boys and girls can count well. Let's listen to the  3rd grade students

Ученик 1

This is Lew.

      He is two.

This is Guy.

      He is five.

This is Kevin.

      He is seven.

This is Kate.

     She is eight.

This is Caroline.

    She is nine.

This is Pen.

     She is ten.

This is my family – расправляем руку и показываем

Let’s count them and see

How many there are

And who they can be

This is the mother   - указательный палец

Who loves everyone

And this is the father - средний палец

Who is lot’s of fun

This is my sister  - безымянный палец

She helps and she plays

And this is the baby    мизинец

He’s growing each day

But who is this one?-  Большой палец

He’s out there alone

Why it’s Jackie, the dog

And he’s chewing a bone

Ведущий 1: well done! We learn to read and count at school.

Ведущий 2: 4th grade student Козлов Никон will tell us a poem about the school.

Ученик 3

My school is cool

My school is cool
And it is full
Of many girls and boys,
Who make much noise
But have a choice
To play all time
Or learn a rhyme,
Or read a book,
To sew or cook.
We love school all
And wait for fall
To meet together here,
To teach and study near.

Ведущий 1:Настя, what do you like to do?

Ведущий 2: I like to read interesting books

Ведущий 1: Let's listen to the 4th grade student Новичкова  Артемия.  He will tell us what he loves.

I like
I like comics, I like hats.
I like biscuits, trees and cats.
I don’t like spider, I don’t like cheese.
I don’t like rats or big yellow bees.
I like to skip
I like to skip,
I like to jump,
I like to run about,
I like to play,
I like to sing,
I like to laugh and shout.

Звучит музыкальная заставка (песенка «Colour Song»).

Ведущий 2: Spring is green, summer is bright, autumn is yellow, winter is white.

Ведущий 1: …., you know colours very well!

Ведущий 2: Thank you, …..! Let us listen to the poem  about colours!

Ученик 5

What is red?

Asks little Fred.

His brother says,

The rose is red.

What is white?

My kite is white.

Do you see my little kite?

What is grey?

Now, can you say?

Yes, I can.

The mouse is grey.

What is black?

My cat is black. '

It goes out

And comes back.

Звучит музыкальная заставка (песенка «He Likes Chicken»).

Ведущий 2: Тёма, what do you…Тёма, where are you?

(Выходит Дик, у него под рубашкой подушка.)

Ведущий 2: Тёма, you look like Robin Bobin!
Ведущий 1: I’ve eaten ten chickens, ten eggs… (садится на стул).

Ведущий 2: We'll talk about food. Гришина Полина, 3rd grade student

WHO  LIKES  WHAT?

Some of us like brown bread,

Some of us like white,

Some of us eat a lot of meat,

Some don’t think it’s right.

   Some of us like apples,

   Some drink juice at night,

   Some of us eat many sweets,

   Some don’t think it’s right.

Ведущий 1: Ученик 7, 3rd grade student, will tell us a poem about Robin Bobin

Звучит музыкальная заставка (песенка «Down On The Farm»).

Ведущий 1: Have you guessed? We are going to speak about animals.

Watch  this  dog!

He can play

Hopscotch!

    Watch that dog!

    He runs for a frog

    His name is Mark

    He likes to bark.

Watch the cat!

He runs for a rat

His name is Nick

He can play hide-and-sееk.

A  DUCK  FAMILY

Father Duck goes for a swim.

Mother Duck comes out with him

And behind them, nice and clean,

Seven yellow ducklings  swim.

Seven little yellow balls.

«Quack, quack, quack,» the mother calls.

What a pretty sight they make

Swimming on the lake.

I  LOVE  MY  DOG

I’ve got a dog,

His name is Jack.

His head is white,

His nose is black.

I take him out

Every day.

Such fun we have!

We run and play.

Such clever tricks

Mу dog can do.

I love my dog!

He loves me too!

Ученик 11

Five little cats are playing on the floor.

One runs away – and now they are four.

Four little cats are hiding in the tree.

 One runs away – and now there are three.

Three little cats are walking at the Zoo.

One runs away – and now there are two.

Two little cats are lying in the sun.

 One runs away – and now there is one.

Ученик 12

Mary Ann has a pig-

 Not very little, not very big,

 Not very pink, not very green,

Not very black, not very clean,

Not very thin, not very fat.

Do you want to have a pig like that?

Ведущий 1:Do you like sports?

Ведущий 2: Oh, yes, I do.

Ведущий 1:What kind of sport do you like?

Ведущий 2: I like football

Ведущий 1: Let's listen to Илюшин  Кирилл. His poem is about sports

Ведущий 2: With pleasure!

Ученик 13

SPORT

Sport is fun for girls and boys

It’s much better than the toys.

You can sledge and ski, and skate

And play snowballs with Kate.

You can swim and play   football,

Hockey, tennis, basketball.

You can jump and you can run.

You can have a lot of fun.

Выходят ведущие. Дик ест яблоко.

Ведущий 2: Тёма, are you eating the apple alone? Aren’t you my friend?

Ведущий 1: Oh, yes, I am your friend, but you see…

Ведущий 2: Тёма, do you know anything about friends and friendship? Let’s listen to Гурьянова Мирослава.

Ученик 14 My friend

Ведущий 2: Тёма, do you like winter?

Ведущий 1: Oh, yes, I do.

Ведущий 2: And I like winter! We have two holidays in winter

Ведущий 1: New Year and Christmas! We get a lot of gifts. We have winter holidays

Ведущий 2: Our students will tell us about this wonderful time of the year

Ученик 15

Shopping, shopping, Christmas shopping.

Mums are hurrying — running, hopping.

Presents, boxes everywhere,

Cards and crackers, teddy-bears,

Lots of useless pretty things:

Candles, tinsel, golden rings,

I’ve been doing shopping too.

Look at me: you’ll see it’s true:

Messy clothes and messy hair —

Christmas, Christmas everywhere

 CHRISTMAS

“It’s a very happy day!

Merry Christmas!” we can say.

All the children laugh and play

On this lovely holiday!

Crystal flakes are nice and bright

Everywhere at the night.

Snow’s as a brilliant carpet,

You can see it on the ground.

I’ll wait for magic gifts:

Teddy bear, toy and sweets.

I believe that Santa Clause

Comes to many boys and girls!

Ведущий 2: Тёма, what will happen in 2024?

Ведущий 1: I don’t know. But I guess that very soon we’ll learn the winner of our competition.

Ведущий 2: And while our judges are solving this problem, let us enjoy the performance of our dansers.

Ведущий 2: What you sow you shall mow.

Ведущий 1: Now the judges are ready to announce the results of our contest!

Звучат фанфары. На сцену выходят представители жюри и объявляют результаты. Проводится награждение победителей.

Ведущий 2: Thank you very much dear judges! Thank you very much dear boys and girls for taking part in our competition! We hope you have had a good time here!

Ведущий 1: And we do hope very much to see you at our contest next year! Good luck!
