в 6 классе
по теме «Спорт и здоровый образ жизни»

Цель урока: формирование представления о понятии «Здоровый образ жизни» и личностного отношения к нему.
Задачи:
- систематизация знаний по теме «Спорт и здоровый образ жизни»;
- развитие коммуникативных навыков;
- систематизация лексико-грамматических навыков;
- формирование сознательного отношения к своему здоровью.
Оборудование: плакаты о здоровом образе жизни, костюмы доктора, судьи и сигареты, мультимедийный проектор, компьютер, презентации «Healthy life-style», «Favorite sports», карточки с лексико-грамматическим заданием, картинки

Ход урока
- Организационный момент
Teacher: Hello, boys and girls! Nice to meet you! Sit down, please. How are you?
Pupils’ variants: (Fine. Well. Not bad…)
Teacher: I’m glad that you are fine today. I think that everybody wants to be healthy, that’s why the healthy life-style becomes more and more popular nowadays. Am I right?
Pupils: (Yes, you are absolutely right)
Teacher:Today we are going to speak about the healthy life-style and Sport, because Sport helps us to befit and feel good.

Teacher: Before we start working on this topic let us practice some English sounds and words. Repeat after me.

Teacher: Do you know the author of the picture?
Pupils’ variants.
Teacher: Yes, you are right. The author of the picture is Leonardo da Vinchi. He is the greatest artist of the Age of the Renaissance. He drew this ideal body in the 15th century. Let’s look at this picture and name the parts of the body.
Pupils’ variants.
Teacher: Dear children and now I want to know your opinion if this body-dream is actual today?
Pupils: (Yes, certainly. Nowadays every person wants to be fit, to look slim and to stay young)

Teacher: Yes, you are right. And now let’s read the dialogue and then give me the answer to the question what we should do to keep fit?

Teacher: Thank you, boys and girls. So children, tell me please what we must do to keep fit?
Pupils’ variants.
- Get up early and go to bed early
- Take a cool or cold shower
- Clean the teeth every morning and every evening
- Wash hands before you eat
- Eat healthy food
Teacher: Yes, you are right. By the way, let us see if you know what food we call healthy. Here are some pictures. Using them put down the right food in your copybooks.

После того, как дети записали в тетради названия продуктов, они читают написанное.
Teacher: If we eat the healthy food we shall look slim and feel good.
So children we must remember that:
- Too little food makes you (thin)
- Too much food makes you (fat)
- The wrong food makes you (ill)
- The right food keeps you (well)
- Too many sweets are bad for you especially for your (teeth)

Now children, I want you to remember the construction of conditional sentence with “if”, which we have learned before. Don’t forget to use Present Indefinite after if to express the Future.

Teacher: Another important rule especially for young men is never smoke because it can cause a lot of problems with your throat, lungs and heart. Let’s role play the court about smoking. A doctor, a judge and a cigarette came to us.

Judge : Dear Ladies and Gentlemen, today we are gong to listen to the case about one of the worst habits – “smoking”. The accused is a cigarette and the counsel for the prosecution is a doctor. Let’s listen to our doctor.
Doctor : You know that there are many good and bad habits. Smoking, drinking alcohol, taking drugs are bad habits. Unfortunately half men and a quarter of women in the world today have a bad habit of smoking. Medical problems associated with smoking are lung disease, heart disease, cancer and many others. Smoking makes teeth yellow, skin unhealthy. It affects the people around you.
Cigarette : As for me, I can’t understand why people think that I am a bad habit. I am so kind and nice. I help a lot of people to relax and have a good time and I can make them happy.
Doctor : But I insist that smoking kills people and death is a very big price for the temporary satisfaction some people get from cigarettes.
And my last word is: Anyone who wants to live a long life should not smoke. I think that the cigarette is guilty.
Cigarette : Oh, I’m so sorry. I didn’t know such awful facts. Please forgive me and let me stay only in your reminiscences.
Judge : So, Ladies and Gentlemen, the listening of the case is finished. The decision of the court is – to leave the cigarette in the reminiscences.
Teacher: Thank you children for you play, take your seats. So, if we want to be healthy, we must eat the right food, don’t have bad habits and do exercises.
