                                 План-конспект урока английского в 9  классе по теме «The Greatest Composers».

Цель: формирование иноязычной коммуникативной компетенции.

Задачи:

1)Практические:

  - формирование навыков устной речи (на базе текста « First of the Great Romantics»);

  - формирование произносительных навыков (на основе речевой и фонетической разминок);

  - формирование лексических навыков (на основе активизации лексики по теме «Music»)

2)Образовательные:

-формирование общеучебных умений школьников;

-расширение кругозора учащихся.

3)Развивающие:

-развитие памяти;

-развитие внимание;

-развитие языковой догадки.

4)Воспитательные:

-формирование интереса у  учащихся к изучению английского языка.

Оборудование: доска, учебник Afanasyeva O.V., Mikheeva I.V. English 9 класс Москва «Просвещение» 2013, компьютер, проектор, мультимедийная презентация.

-  Good morning. Sit down, please. How are you today?

- How many classes do you have today?

- Are you sleepy?

- It is cold outside, isn’t it?

- Let’s warm up and begin our lesson.

We have already learnt a lot about famous composers .Today you will learn some new facts. We are going to talk about one of the most famous composers of all time. Then we will revise words connecting with this topic.

- Before we start our lesson let’s train our tongues a little. Now we are going to read a short poem about music. Have a look at the whiteboard. Pay attention to the pronunciation of the word genre [ˈʒɒnrə]. Let’s read it altogether.

- Do you agree with the author of this poem?

-Good job, thank you.

- Let’s remember our previous idiom of the day. What was it?

- Right you are. Our today’s idiom is « to dance to smb’s tune». How can we translate it? Any ideas?

- That’s right. Do you often have to dance to other people’s tune?

- Do you like it?

- Why don’t you like it?

- At home you were to read a text about one of the most famous composers of all time. What is his name?

- That’s right.

- Was it difficult for you? Did you like it?

- Let’s see how attentive you were when reading the text about Mozart.  I will read you the statements and you are to say which of them are true and which of them are false and explain why. Is it clear?

   

Let’s begin.

1. Mozart wrote his works spontaneously.

2. There were a lot of mistakes in his works.

3. He couldn’t play the clavier.

4. He did not gain wide recognition in his own country at that time.

5. Everyone considered him to be a genius.

6. He was not very well off, that’s why he lived from hand to mouth.

- Well - done, thank you.

 

- Now let’s continue talking about Mozart and answer some questions on the text.

 

  1. Did he write his works spontaneously?
  2. Where did his family take lodgings?
  3. How could he play his clavier?
  4.  Did he have enough money?
  5. What problems did he have at the end of his life?

 

    - Thank you for your job.

- You have already learnt a lot of interesting facts about Mozart. Now we are going to summarize them. Let’s divide into groups and make up 5 interesting facts about music.

- Well-done, thank you.

- Now we are going to revise our vocabulary for you to be able to speak on this topic. First I will read you the definitions and you are to name the word. Let’s begin.

- Look at the whiteboard and change the underlined words with its equivalents.

 - Let’s play a little. You take one of the cards with one word written on it. You are to explain to us the meaning of this word and we are to guess. Is it clear?

-Good job, thank you.

- I want to finish our lesson with the quote by Mozart. Look at the whiteboard.

- How can we translate it?

- Do you agree?

- Let’s discuss the results of our lesson. What interesting facts about Mozart have you learnt today?

- At home you are to make up dialogues pretending to be one of the composers we know, trying not to give his name. We will try to guess his name. Is everything clear?

- The bell has gone. Thank you for your job. Have a rest.

-Hello teacher. We are fine.

-We have 6 classes.

- No, we are not.

- Yes, it is.
