It’s time to say «Hello!»

And start our lesson.

Today we will speak about very important problem of the mankind, about ecology, environment, green issues. Today we will play, do different tasks and get points for right answers.

We have got two teams. The captains, please, introduce your teams. (Записать названия команд на доске: «Nature guards», «Eco-helpers».)

Well, we’ll begin our competition. Good luck!

1. Let’s warm up and play a game «Hangman»

Одно слово для разминки, по одному для команд – 1 балл.

2. Now it’s a game for the captains. (Who are the captains? Please, come here and take your task.) – 1 балл.

The teams also will work and do some exercises – 2 балла.

Учащиеся читают свои задания вслух.

3. Solve the crossword. Guess the key word. (Во время выполнения заданий звучит музыка.) 1 балл – разгаданное слово; 2 балла – частично заполненный кроссворд; 3 балла – полностью выполненное задание.
4. Let’s play another game «One hundred to one». Listen to the rules: you read the question and five answers. You must choose the most common, the most important answer.

За каждый правильный ответ команда получает по 1 баллу, в последнем вопросе все варианты ответов правильные.

5. You know about some ecological problems and one of them is acid rain. Tell about it, please. (1 балл)
6. We can help the nature, for example, we can use our car less, use solar power, plant trees, build nesting boxes, collect and recycle rubbish and so on. People can also make nature reserves and help animals there.

In Scotland there are 71 nature reserves. At the lessons we’ve read about St Kilda, Loch Lomond, Insh Marshes. What can you tell us about some of them? (1 балл + 1 балл за дополнительный рассказ о заповеднике. Does anybody want to tell about one more nature reserve?)

7. People must help animals and one way to do it is joining special organizations such as WWF and donating money. The next task is to act out the telephone conversation in the environmental organization. (1 балл + 1 балл за выразительность, актёрское мастерство, for a good manner of presentation)
8. It’s time to summarize our knowledge about the topic and I know you can make up a синквейн. I want you to do it now. (1 балл)
9. And your last task – you must read this motto.  (1 балл) (Do you agree with it?)
10. Подведение итогов. Let’s finish the competition and count the points. … are the winners. They get excellent marks. … get goods marks.
11. It’s time for relaxation. (Звучит музыка.)

Please, sit comfortable, close your eyes and relax. Imagine you are in the forest. It’s so nice here. The weather is perfect, the sun is shining, it’s not windy at all. You are looking around at tall trees, green grass, bright yellow, red and blue flowers, amazing butterflies. It’s so quiet in the forest, only the birds are singing. You are walking though the paths alone and thinking. «What a nice day! The forest is beautiful! It’s so peaceful here! I’m calm! I’m happy! I’m happy that I’m alive and I can live on the Earth and have family, friends, go to school, walk in the forest! …After all, our planet is perfect! It must always be perfect!!! We must save it for us and our children! …People, listen to me: «Let’s save our home together!»…..It’s so nice in the forest!» …Open your eyes and remember – be kind to nature! We must do our best to save our planet!

12. At the end of the lesson let’s  all together read this poem.

Do all the good you can,

By all the means you can,

In all the ways you can,

In all the places you can,

At all the times you can,

To all the people you can,

As long as ever you can.
